Traditional well established premises.

Traditional well established premises. Several rooms plus an outdoor area across the road. One small point they charge a cover charge which included in our case a titbit of a cheese dip with tomato and cucumber. ( see pic) In truth unnecessary but obviously something they feel they need to do. Had... read more

Food was overall ok - we had a very good Tafelspitz, nice salad with Turkey and a disappointing tomato soup. You can sit outside in a calm but sterile atmosphere. Overall we found it not worth the money we had to pay because it was much more expensive than other experiences in Wachau with same or even higher quality

We went to there for losing our way to Hallstatt. In the 8:00 pm of Sunday, we were glad to find the restaurant. The three Asian faces pull the door and surprised everybody. However, the staff were friendly and offered their English menu(so new!, it seems never used before.) We enjoyed their traditional steak and avoid getting wet in raining... More

Lunch for 12 was great. A very nice, friendly and decent Austrian restaurant with very good food, excellent wine and attentive and friendly service. Although it is not located near the Danube, they have a nice garden. Highly recommendable.

We stayed in Weissenkirchen in the Wachau and decided to have dinner at the Kirchenwirt restaurant in Weissenkirchen. They served lovely bread with a fish paste and a meat paste, great way to open your appetite. We then had Schweinskotelett (a Pork Schnitzel ) which was made just right! We asked for salads instead of french fries and enjoyed every... More

We stayed for one night in Weinquadrat hotel, which serves bad and breakfast, they warmly recommended to eat dinner there. We went there and the place was quiet full, which was a good sign, and indeed the food was good and so was the service. They have all kinds of rooms and spaces including intimate coroners for romantic dinner for... More

Very nice restaurant in Weiβenkirchen, with a relaxing atmosphere in the patio. Tasty typical Austrian dishes and excellent beer. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Recommended to anyone!

Ate there twice...once utdoors once indoors. On the first outdoor night we had the Weiner schnitzel and Tafelspitz and both were excellent. With wine and bottled water the bill was 50 euro. Bread etc. was offered. The service was friendly and excellent. The second night we ate indoors. The staff remembered us and directed us immediately to a cosy and... More

This was Tuesday. many restaurants TI recommended were closed. This was the one of the recommendation in the heart of the village opened for lunch. When we first arrived, there were big groups filled the entire restaurant. The hostess politely told us come back for another 15 mins. Yes, when we went back, we almost had the restaurant to ourself.... More
