The place is nearly always full of people. the cakes and pastries are excellent. Cost is reasonable.

When we entered we saw a small, quaint place. The service was good. They also had attentive crew that tried their best to serve whatever you ordered as quickly as was possible. They even had good coffee and delicious desserts. The only thing that I didn't like was that it Gets crowded though especially during mealtimes.

The place has been spruced up since the last time I visited. We got in at a late lunch hour but the place was still full. I wasn't so keen on the main dishes because I was just there for the sans rival, so I rushed through my order which was some kind of forgettable pasta dish. In all fairness,... More

The silvanas (my favourite!) and San rival here are EXCELLENT!! A lovely quaint little cafe, very comfortable and great prices. I must give a mention to the VERY friendly and helpful staff- thank you!

Intriguing really because when our other friends knew of our trip to Dumaguete, almost everyone had sans rival or silvanas in their mind. But of course, almost all our lunches and dinners had to be at this place also for convenience since our hotel was so close by. Except for the one time that we had to wait at least... More

A moderate restaurant with slow and uninterested staffs, the service is clumsy. The pasta is good. A noisy place but so are all the others in Dumaguete.

I loooooove their Sans Rival and Silvanas! A must-try if you are in Dumaguete! Plus, the restaurant interior is beautiful. Nice cool blue color, beautiful floor tiles and wood elements gives a Spanish-feel.

We went here for lunch before going to the airport, so we were rushing as our flight was just 2 hourse from schedule. Staff was very nice, and in spite of the place being full, our food was served rather quickly. I wish we got more time to enjoy the lunch, but I remember a unique item called pritchon. Price... More

Ambiance is cool and staff are friendly even though they are busy. I hope they will have other branches too. But maybe that's what you call city's delicacy in which you really have to visit the place and taste it's food and have the memory of the place instilled together with the taste. :P

Sans Rival has been one of Dumaguete's main draws, and unsurprisingly so. When you step into the restaurant it's like you immediately gets transported back to the time when life was unhurried and when you can just while the time away and enjoy your coffee and cake while tuning the world out. It's simply charming. One of the best Dumaguete... More
