I have travelled in and out of Dumaguete for a number of years and I always seem to find myself feeling "at home" each and every time after being welcomed by Gunther and his well trained and efficient staff who make a point of knowing your name and your preferences in food and drink. Lunch specials are a steal and... More

I have been going to the Casablanca Restaurant in Dumaguete ever since it opened in its old location. It has been in the new location on Rizal Boulevard for over 5 or 6 years. Gunther and his wife have made the restaurant the best restaurant in Dumaguete. The Brazilian steak, the Hungarian goulash - dinner or soup is great. Vienerschnitzel,... More

Try the seared style tuna. Always great. Ask about salmon, sashimi style or grilled fillet, not always available, but ask, it is excellent. We are lunch time visitors 98% of the time we go. We have always had good service. Also ask about desserts, most of the time many are available but just not all are on the menu. Is... More

I have had several bad experiences at Casablanka during happy hour. The first problem is there is always a trainee serving happy hour drinks, most of the time there are 10 to 12 patrons there on Monday evening and never a waiter or waitress with experience. Monday I was totally ignored for 20 minutes after I arrived, two customers arrived... More

Somehow the food is always better if the owner Sanin is in. I would recommend their bruschetta, greek salad, Brazilian steak, tuna steak, Hungarian salami spaghetti and their crepe and gelato for dessert.

Casablanca used to offer delectable meals and good service. However, since they turned the restaurant over to the wife of the owner, it has been down hill ever since. She fired all the regular staff (who added charm and made you feel welcome.) Then she downgraded the meats, fish, pork, etc. (this according to the kitchen personal.) I was there... More

Casa Blanca is now on the boulevard so perch on its raised patio to enjoy the sea view or the lively activities along Dumaguete's lovely waterfront park. The food is still great, offering both Pinoy favorites & classic European fare with Gunter's meticulous Austrian attention to detail. You will generally be greated either by Gunter or his wife at some... More

Good food! We went a bunch of times over several visits to the city. Great for lunch or a breakfast more than an evening meal for me. On the whole very good service but once we had a poor and careless waitress. It was a great place for satisfying the things that you have been missing from home as it... More
