We tried the A.C. restaurant at Rishikesh, which by any mean, is expensive. Of Course the restaurant is well decorated and beutifully located by the river.

There is nothing special about this restaurant.Normal food, normal ambiance, average cost. Its Located on banks of Ganga and has good view of the river. Apart from this nothing special.

The food is mostly meant for pilgrimage (middle income group). The service is slow and waiters are not well trained. Since it is close to Ganga river, it seems to be good from outside, however inside the atmosphere is like meant for tourists only. The food is spicy and has choice.

This serves so good food that everyone recommends this, and that's worthwhile. Pure vegetarian (just like others) and delicious (very much). I haven't tried any other as we always liked its taste. Make sure you ask for plain arhar daal and butter nan/roti rather than swanky stuff like bhatura.. Don't expect top-class cuisine however if you keep it simple, they... More

the original ones are presumably in rishikesh swargashram, all haridwar ones are fakes and using the name for business, quality mostly is average ..though the one exactly near mohan poori wala on har ki pauri is better than most

Chottivala is a excellent restaurant. Near lalthroaupull. Just one km from railway station and hari ki pauri. The food in chottiwala is very good and delicious. Me and family stayed at the hotel near to chottiwala. But we have our break fast and dinner from chottiwala because of its quality and service.

The food is average. There is no privacy in eating as restaurant is completely open from all sides. It cannot be compared to the Chotiwala of Hrishikesh.
