Nice curry, decent goat

We had the chicken massalla and a special of Tanzanian style goat. Both were good, but the curry was the standout - though that might just be a reflection of our general love for curry! The lack of any naan or chapati was a shame and the portions were a little on the small side, but the prices were... read more

We were taken to this restaurant by friends who know the island well and what a gem of a place it turned out to be; it felt like being told a naughty secret! Not posh, not arrogant, just a simple wooden deck on the most amazing beach with a ladder leading down for a pre-lunch swim in the crystal blue,... More

From the moment you get a drink or food, you are bombarded by flies. It was so disgusting. I have never seen anything like it in my life. There were 3 of us, & we each had at least 20-30 flies trying to land on our food at all times. I've never had a worse dining experience in all my... More

Startet of with a waiter that did not know todays special. And a menue that covered a little bit of everything. The special was King Fish that was cooked dry, strange sauce and difficult to understand what te batter was made of. The vegetables seemed italian inspired but did not go well with the main dish. Seems like te kitchen... More

We were here every day during our stay in Nungwi. The staff was amazing - helped us out with various questions. Excellent view over the sea and great, tasty food. You can go swimming direct from the terasse, and they show soccer. Highly recommendable!

We had several meals at this restaurant on our ill fated stay at Nungwi. The best was definitely the curry and one of our friends had some great King Prawns. We also had some pasta one night when we had slightly upset stomachs and wanted some plain food, and while the sauce was nice the pasta was overcooked. Great atmosphere,... More

One of the best fish/seafood meals I've ever had, and all to be had in this wonderful rustic environment overlooking the sea on the northern tip of Zanzibar. The food quality is amongst the best on the island!! Please note no alcohol.

One of the best food I ever had. The menu is consist of traditional Zanzibar food, pasta and pizza. Most of the food costs 15 000 TZS which is about 8 dollars. Service was smiley and really nice and helpfull.

Very good food for a reasonable price. Nice staff. And the location is just perfect for a relaxed and romantic sunset dinner at the beach. But be careful with the dishes on the page with the 'pili pili hoho' meals. They are really very very hot. But so tasty and yummy! I enjoyed my Buddha Vegetable Curry a lot, even... More

Yes, Langi Langi is a one of the best places to have lunch in Nungwi. Very reasonable prices for dishes prepared at the local style, very tasty. Can't remember the name of the dishes, but most of them come in a 'three-bowls-plate' with main food at the middle, rice or potatoes at one side and vegetable at the other side.... More
