The food here was superb. Absolutely flawless, beautiful presentation served by attentive and knowledgeable waiters. No issues at all BUT!... We booked to stay at the Inn overnight and planned to have dinner there. Imagine our surprise when told we were expected for lunch as per the booking. Dinner bookings stopped after Easter (BETTER READ THE FINE PRINT EH!)... We... More

We took friends from LA-USA for a meal. As we walked down the path to the restaurant they were blown away with the view, the peace (the serenity). Then the restaurant perched, overlooking the water, ready to swoop. We had downloaded the menu so knew pretty much what we were going to eat but as the courses arrived with some... More

I'd never arrived at a restaurant by seaplane before, so that was something special. So too was the meal and the location overlooking the river was wonderful. Everything we ate was good, especially the Cobia. Excellent advice on wine and friendly unassuming service. I just wished I didn't live so far away!

We take all our favourite Sydney visitors here - whether you order the degustation or the a la carte, you feel very special. Couple the service with the beautiful location, and this is always a delightful afternoon or evening out. I was further delighted when I ate there whilst pregnant: despite only informing them that I was pregnant when I... More

Absolutely amazing lunch, one of the best degustations we have ever had, complemented by outstanding wines and exceptional service from Jeffrey! A truly hatted experience, thank you.

Had the 7 course meal for my birthday. Great food. Stayed the night at great expense but it was a real disappointment to the evening. I wish we'd got a cab home! The room was really basic. Water in show warm at best. Outdoor view was supposed to be the river but you couldnt see much of it. You could... More

My husband and I rowed over from our hired clipper in our very casual attire and we're delighted with a very warm welcome despite not having booked. We found the little touches of the amuse bouch and petit fours delightful and our meals were also superb. Thank you for a memorable lunch on our honeymoon x

Quite simply the best setting on the hawks bury river, knowledgable and caring staff and a sensational tasting menue. Oh, and add the presence of a first class sommelier and you have one of the best lunching experiences in the world. Book the flight on a sea plane and the culinary adventure begins. It is not cheap, but it shouldn't... More

Revisited Cottage Point for the first time in a year and it was amazing. The service is top class with our waiter all over the menu and his wines, so professional. The food was as good as I have eaten in a long time and the menu choice would cater for the most fussy I would imagine. What with the... More

Cottage Point Inn 1 March 2015 It's a 1 hour drive from Sydney CBD so pretty much a place to go on a special occasion - this time my wife's birthday. We had been once before 11 years ago (different chef owner) and it was memorable. Our reservation was efficiently handled and although the restaurant was full when we arrived... More
