Degustation delightful

Since first coming to this restaurant 15 years ago, we've seen it go through peaks and troughs in terms of quality of experience. We have flown here by seaplane and arrived by the more traditional method, by road. We have been here for birthdays, anniversaries and even on Christmas Eve (when... read more

You can drive here or even catch a sea plane (which moors outside the restaurant) from Rose Bay in Sydney. This restaurant is a favourite of mine for a special lunch or an occasion. A little hard to get to, but the location is so rewarding. The degustation is to die for and the service is always great. The location... More

My partner and I booked a table for two last night for a celebratory anniversary dinner. What can I say? Everything was just right, the food was divine, the service impeccable and the atmosphere tranquil and peaceful with the water glistening under a full moon. Apart from the dishes we ordered,we loved the delicious little surprise morsels that would just turn... More

Tranquil setting for exquisite fine dining. Must have the signature veal tartare and the sensational 16-hour slow cooked wagyu rump. It is a wonderful venue to celebrate a milestone event.

Visited here for Sunday lunch degustation for a birthday celebration. The setting was really quite lovely and the place was packed. The restaurant is quite hard to find with very little parking. The menu was interesting and the food was quite lovely. Our only gripe was that they refused to serve tap water due to the location and contaminants. However,... More

Cottage Point Inn's breathtaking location in the Ku-rin-gai Chase National Park and French influenced food makes it one of the best kept secrets in Sydney's fine dining scene. My wife and I had also dined at Tetsuya's on this trip to Sydney. We thought that the food at Cottage Point Inn was comparable to Tetsuya's but the former's location/view makes... More

Very disappointed in this restaurant. The food as mentioned was average at best but the service was just appalling. You know those restaurants where the waiters treat you like they are doing you a favour??? Yep, this is one of those. The setting was nice but there are alot better quality restaurants with similar outlooks. Won't be back!

We celebrated a birthday there and we are glad we picked this venue. The location is amassing. The food, from degustation to starters and the main course was well designed and prepared. I noted some comments about portions being to small and disagree. This is not (and shouldn't be place where you'll load your tummies with loads of food. There... More

Hidden in the woods of Kuringai Chase National Park is a hidden gem for foodies. And hidden in the kitchen is a French chef who practices an art of turning ordinary ingredients into extraordinary concoctions. Combine that with the pairing of wines recommended by the sommelier and the slightly eccentric maitre d' and you are presented with a recipe that... More

We caught the ferry from Patonga to Cottage Point Inn which gave us around 2 hours to dine at this wonderful place. The ferry trip was picturesque to start with, but then we arrived at this quaint little restaurant that didn't disappoint. The food was sensational. So delicate, so delicious, so refined. This is one to add to your bucket... More
