Wonderful meal on the waterfront

Cottage Point Inn is a great place to visit for the views alone. Seated on the covered outside terrace, overlooking the river and surrounded by bushland you feel that you are in some exotic retreat in the middle of nowhere when you are really not that far from Sydney. The food was beautiful and... read more

Really enjoyed this restaurant for lunch, we took two French visitors to the restaurant and wow they were blown away. Fantastic french food done with Australian style. Lovely sitting outside watching the boats eating fantastic food and drinking great wine. Service wasn't fast but very warm and informed. This is a must for all Sydney siders. Cant say more just... The meal was creative, very tasty and the service attentive and knowledgeable. We chatted to the waiter about the various dishes before and after the meal. It was a very hot day so we declined our booked place outside for the aircon inside. We came by car with the many steps down the path to the restaurant at tne edge... More

This place was highly recommended so four of us went to lunch, arriving by boat. We probably all had quite high expectations. The appetiser menu was disappointingly small with only five choices, and unfortunately my choice was not available and my second choice of veal tartare was a disappointment. Instead of the meat being separate from the other ingredients so... More

I've known Guillaume for many years now. For many years he's asked me to come visit, and I only waited too long. So when we came with another couple this week end to finally discover this hidden gem, I couldn't be more amazed. It was the perfect getaway, from the spot to the room, and of course the wonderful 7... More

We took the seaplane to Cottage Point for a dinner and accommodation package. We were fortunate to have a sparkling Sydney afternoon for the short flight and checked into the Riverview suite for a relaxing afternoon overlooking the river before dinner. Dinner was a revelation - so many combinations of deliciousness with a table practically on the water. We tried... More

The Inn was far more sophisticated than I imagined but nevertheless was friendly and had a warm atmosphere. The food matched the scenery by both being excellent. We enjoyed every one of the dishes on the Degustation menu and all the wines we chose. The staff were very attentive and clearly knew all about the dishes giving detailed descriptions for... More

We have been a regular at Cottage Point Inn for at least 25 years. This was our first time back in almost 5 years for the anniversary of our first date there back in 1995 and it did not disappoint. We had the degustation which was just sublime. Every course was beautifully presented with exceptional, complex, flavours. Our waiter was... More

We went to Cottage Point as part of a seaplane trip. Its very unassuming from the outside, but wait until you try the food. We had a 7 course meal with wine pairing for each course. Its a fairly expensive thing to do (and my first time). Each course was incredible, both in terms of taste and presentation and the... More

We went for New Years Eve and had the degustation. Everything was wonderful - the imaginative creations, the droll waiters and the astonishing water view. The long climb back up the steps was worth it!
