Enjoyed a lovely lunch here (in the formal restaurant - not the cafe) with a good friend. To start we shared a plate of Sydney rock oysters which came with a verjuice jelly which complemented the oyster beautifully. My main dish was beef cheek which was beautifully tender and very delicious. Service was professional and friendly and the venue...well you... More

We first visited the Bather's Pavilion 17 years ago and this was our first trip back since then. It's quite simply our favourite cafe/restaurant due to the high quality of food and the amazing location beachside in Balmoral. The breakfast was delicious and the restaurant is modern, clean and inspiring. I also bought the cookbooks so brought a little piece... More

Visited the cafe section of this restaurant mid week with a family group aged 30-60 . It was a perfect winters day and the place was buzzing . Waiters were attentive but into iced that we had designated waiter and several asked us for our orders - better than the other way around ! We had the fish of the... More

The menu is full of items which sounds delicious and it was not easy making the choice. I decide on the filet which surpassed my expectations. While eating we were able to look out the windows at the beautiful beach and bay while being warmed by a log fire. Finish the meal with an apple pie which was continued the... More

Extremely helpful staff who try to accommodate every wish. Food wise well presented and very good. A restaurant to choose for a special occasion.

Had lunch here on a sunny day, the view across the beach is quintessentially aussie. Which suited my Overseas guests. The meals we had were quite nice and light, three of us had the fish of the day which was swordfish on a risotto base, drizzled with olive oil and lemon juice. I can't remember what the other two had.... More

We went to the Bather's Pavilion Cafe for lunch to celebrate a birthday in May, 2014. We received a warm and professional welcome and were seated in a table right by the slightly open window. As it was a gloriously warm and sunny day, the seating was perfect. (that is, until a rude 'sportif' matron pushed in, into the table... More

Went with my wife for a special occasion, we were very disappointed. The food is nice, but is not worth the hefty price tag. There were only 3 other tables being used and we were all next to each other. Obviously the waiters did not want to walk further than they had too. The bill was over $300 with 2... More

We dined here for my birthday on a Saturday evening - 5 people, one bottle of wine, a cocktail and two non-alcoholic drinks and the cost came to nearly $150.00 per head. The food really was excellent but at a restaurant of this quality, when you pay that sort of money for a bottle of wine, you expect the wine... More
