We called in for a drink after a day of skiing. Had a great mulled wine to warm up. Very warm, rustic and inviting. The outside are was fantastic with big open fires for people to toast marshmallows. We would have stayed for tea but needed to get back to Wanaka. Would highly recommend a visit.

If you're a lamb fan you're in for a treat, try the crusted lamb fillet salad. It was seriously amazing. Nice wine choices too. The building itself is interesting, lots to look at. They even had what appeared to be an antique high chair for my son. We had a great lunch here, don't drive past without stopping in for... More

Must do tourist stop when in the Queenstown/Wanaka areas !! Sipping on a cider next to the toasty open fire with a warm chicken salad . Sunday's done right ✨

This lovely old hotel has everything. Local history, charm, huge log open fires, (both inside and outside) wonderful food, and great mulled wine. I thought it would be a tourist trap, but it was absolutely fabulous, and I wished we could stay longer.

We stopped in here on our way back to Qtown as it looked welcoming and plenty of others were there also. Lovely bar staff - down to earth, friendly and efficient. Lots of skiers, big cosy fire inside, and several outside as well. We only had time for a drink - but the food smelled heavenly.

Warm, great chips, fab mulled wine, and a selection of local beer. A definite favourite after skiing or mountain biking.

Called in for smoko at the Cardrona Hotel. The hotel had great facilities and a warm atmosphere. The choc chip biscuits and cheese scones were just out of the oven and were delicious. Lots of history there and we would happily call in again!

We stopped there for a drink after a long day skiing. Amazing place in old style, open fire and leather couches, delicious mulled wine...
