Great place for lovely coffee, scones and light meals. Great place to take the kids so they can play in the awesome playground or have a game of mini golf while the parents have a coffee or wine.

I just LOVE the carrot cake at The Musterer's Hut Cafe ... it goes well with their wonderfully fluffy mocha!

We had heard that Musterers had a good playground for the kids but wasn't a good place for coffee. Wrong. When I walked in the two staff members were deep in conversation about coffee - a good sign. Then I noticed they used Switch Espresso - another good sign. The service we received was excellent and the barista new what... More

We stopped in here on arrival in Twizel on the shuttle from Christchurch. We had a lovely lunch on a busy Good Friday. We were warned there would be a wait but the food turned up quickly despite the busyness of the cafe. All our food was nice without being spectacular but the service was prompt and friendly and we... We enjoyed our stop here for lunch on our way to Lake Ohau. Stayed far too long as still had some way to go but was lovely sitting in the sun with good food and coffee.

Just not good really, odd salads with coleslaw mixed into a green salad and balsamic on top, a chicken burger with way too much bread, nasty chicken nuggets, filo's lacking flavor, a Flat White that was 1/3rd froth. Close to being fine, but maybe a little more thought and seasoning in the kitchen. Service was friendly and just fine, place... More

Having stopped by the fantastically turquoise Lake Tekapo, and visited the little church of the Good Shepherd overlooking it we stopped at Musterers for a bite. Nyree bakes the pies herself, and claims them to be great...( well she would wouldn't she?) But seriously they were every bit as good as she claimed...Try the Steak pie in particular!

We were taken to this quirky cafe by locals. Parking was easy, right outside, with a short walk across the gardens and verandah and into the main cafe area. Seating inside comprises a variety of styles, including 1960s Formica tables and chairs, with outdoor chairs on the verandah, and garden tables beyond. Interesting antiques and memorabilia are talking points. We... More
