Carrucho filled arepas

Nice place for families or couples. Lunch time is busy with local workers that get a bargain for local food that is tasty and well done. Arepas fill with sea food are so good! Recomended any day!

This is definitely a hole-in-the-wall joint, but is worth the trip to get to. The red snapper is the way to go and this is a place that will definitely serves authentic Puerto Rican food for reasonable prices. It's an open-air restaurant, so if you're skittish of small, hungry birds, you may not care for it, but it's good eating... More

Hungry and looking for a place to eat when all other places were closed, we sauntered into Racar. Good prices, good quantity, average food. I had the octopus mofungo while my partner had the chicken mofungo. Up to this point I would have rejected anyone's mofungo; however, this was a test of determination. Although I didn't fall in love with... More

The fish here was fresh and tasty. The ambiance is very causal, which is fine, but the service/atmosphere leaves some room for improvement. There was a counter where locals were ordering food, and tables, and there seemed to be one waitress working the tables. She did not greet us. It was hard to tell if there was actually table service... More

Don't expect a great restaurant, but you will receive fresh, local seafood that tastes fine. We had the snapper and the king fish and both were pretty good. Snapper was delicious and other friends tried the shrimp. The hygiene of the place is questionable, but you may put that under "authentic beach bar atmosphere". Bathrooms should not be used, if... If you're looking for a local seafood place, this is a great choice! We had creole with red beans & rice, doing the traditional local specialties, and enjoyed every mouthful. The sangria is good, but served in plastic cups. Nothing fancy here, but great location right on the Las Croabas circle, great service, with delicious food and drink, just like... More

We asked for help at Las Casitas Manor Desk to find Puerto Rican seasoning sauces to take back home. Carlos sent us to El Racar. We got the sauce and their seafood Mofungo while we were there. My wife and I loved it. Authentic Puerto Rican dishes. Locals helped us with our order.

I wasn't quite sure what to expect as we rolled up to Racar, but I was pleasantly surprised. We devoured a couple empanadas and a few beers before rolling down to the park. The food was ok, most of what I saw was deep fried, but very affordable as were the beers.

Can I just say I've never had Red Snapper this great in my life? It was truly amazing. The smell of the marina put me off and I didn't know if I wanted to walk into this shack. But when I took a bite of the food placed in front of me, I knew I hit a local winner. We... More

El Racar is great! All the food is fresh and big portions. I spent most of my days walking from the El Conquistador Hotel (10 mins walk) to grab breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout my stay in Fajardo. The fish meals are excellent and the hot sauces that you can purchase there are great. If you go spearfishing with Tim... More
