We are on a girls trip to Puerto Rico and had a great meal tonight. The presentation and recommendations were great - the skirt steak can be fork cut, really tender and delicious as were the grouper and mahi mahi (not as tender). The sangria was great and the wait staff as well. We didn't save room for dessert so... More

We took a laptop with us for the 1st time and reviews of this place seemed to focus on its food and service. It was an easy choice to make, although somewhat difficult getting there. The road narrows as you drive north of Fajardo, and is never straight. All said, this restaurant is legendary for good reasons. Janet and I... More

We enjoyed the swordfish dinner - cooked perfectly and served on a bed of spinach and asparagus. Sangria was the best I've ever tasted. The waiter suggested the flan for dessert - again, it was excellent. Good service, great food and a lovely setting. We'll go back if we're in the area.

If you can leave the resort, do, and head here for a lovely dinner experience! The sangria is terrific, we had swordfish and grouper, both delicious, and the kids had pasta with white sauce and loved it. Staff makes you feel very welcomed, Felix, Hector, and the others all great! Well worth the extremely short and easy drive from El... More

Our waiter was Felix and he was outstanding. He made great recommendations and was very knowledgeable. We started with the seafood croquettes which were really great and had a nice little kick. I had the grouper which was excellent and my partner had the Mahi Mahi which was also excellent. We ate outside next to the fountain and the ambience... More

Calizo represents an excellent alternative to the big hotel restaurants in the area. the food was full of flavor and sumptuous highlighted by attentive service under the Puerto Rican moon. Sangria is unique and tasty! The croquette appetizer was oh so flavorful as was the pumpkin soup. This was followed by a barbequed skirt steak with an array of tasty... More

Went to this place on a Sunday and they were crowded early. Still had no trouble getting a table. I had a good grouper fillet and wife have a very good pasta dish with shrimp and pork. Servers were nice and their English was great. Could not finish either dish, though we tried.

Tired of the dining options at El Conquistador, several people receommended Calizo and for good reason. WE sat outside in a lovely courtyard on a very pleasant Friday evening and enjoyed some great Puerto Rican food. We started with the fish crackers (ceviche on a very thin fried plantain) and seafood croquettes, both were wonderful. My husband had the 3... More

We were on our way to the bioluminesence tour and just happened upon this restaurant which is just 2 minutes from the park. We sat outside and had a perfect meal of fresh fish, vegetables. Best Sangria we have ever had. My son had the ribs that he is still raving about. Felix, our waiter was great too! Highly recommend!
