It is called "La Estacion" since it was once a gas station. Now it is a popular and very well managed restaurant near the entrance to El Conquistador. The food is very local (fried red snapper, mafungo, etc) and extremely tasty. I brought my family of 3 college kids and my wife there and all raved about the food and... More

If you are in Fajardo you must eat at La Estacion. My wife and I had the grilled shrimp and also grilled Chorizzo for appetizers . Served on skewers with vegetables they were both fantastic. The shrimp was served with a large Tostone that was perfectly cooked and served with a delicious homemade dipping sauce . For dinner we both... More

Dinner took quite a while but was worth it. Not expensive at all and the waiter was very cordial. Definitely be back!

The closest restaurant to el conquistador hotel, one of the hotel employees referred us, plates are between $25 and $40 (I believe), with a family of 4, between food and drinks we spent on average $200 a night. Expensive because it's so close to the hotel, I'm pretty sure if you drive a few blocks down, you'll find food for... More

Our favorite dinner in Puerto Rico was at La Estacion. It's just off the property of El Con on the main road. It had a Boho vibe, play area outside for kids with a tire swing, etc. There was also a bar, so wait wasn't too bad! Food was all local and delicious. They ask for cash if possible bc... More

The food was very good, the wait staff was attentive and prices about what we expected. If it is rainy, seating is tricky.

When my Other 1/2 and I visited PR for the Christmas-New Years holidays, he had already done much research. I CANNOT stress sufficiently how UTTERLY amazing the food, service, owners and staff were. We went as soon as we arrived Xmas Eve and ended up returning an additional 2 times (incl. New Years Eve). Food: out of this world; staff:... More

Food could favorably compete with any big city restaurant. I have tried almost every item on menu, and there are no weak spots. Atmosphere is superb, and Kevin, the owner and chef, as well as his wife Idalia are warm and welcoming hosts.

We arrived without reservations and had to wait half an hour to be seated on a Monday night even though there was plenty of empty seating. The waitress apologized and mentioned that the kitchen was backed up. While we waited to be seated our kids played at the little playground/area adjacent to the restaurant. It kept them entertained but we... More
