Delicious Pie!

The food was perfect! My partner had a bad meal in here before so he was a bit sceptical but this meal certainly put his previous experience out of his mind! The pie was delicious! Even had room for a chocolate guiness Mousse for pudding! :D Coming back to this area in June so may be visiting! :D

Receive the warmest of welcomes in a delightful country pub/restaurant in a tiny Dordogne village. Owner spent time in Ireland in the catering trade so Guinness and Bushmills Whiskey feature strongly, both on the drinks menu and as restaurant ingredients. Food may not be haute cuisine but it is freshly prepared, interesting, good value and very tasty - try the... More

Delicious 6 course menu for €28 is dfinitely worth a try! Great value and setting. my favourite course was the duck and apple pie as it was a nice change. The bottle of organic wine accompanied it beautifully.

We visited here in August 2014. We have 5 kids so always struggle to eat out with everyone's tastes catered for. The owners could not have been more accommodating. We had a lovely stress free meal with nice wine. We enjoyed the 6 course menu and half sized portions were available for our spchildren, so no rubbishy kids menu. The... More

Visited on recommendation from our son. What a find, excellent food with great views from the outdoor area to eat and watch the sun go down. Also serve Guiness, make sure you try one of their duck dishes

It was cosy and a typical old style pub. The owner was chatty and friendly. The menu wasn't very varied but adequate. I enjoyed the omelette and my partner had a great steak.

In a region where everywhere serves duck, The Black Duck serves the best. The Guinness was pretty good too as was the steak and the chicken, but the star of the show was the best Confit Duck I've ever tasted. The service was friendly and, by French standards, prompt. Well worth seeking out!

Lovely lunch at the Black Duck. The best meal we had in the Dordogne! Excellent duck feast in a lovely quiet location.
