Went to Stella D'oro bec of the recommendation from tripadvisor. I dare say that it was faultless. Parking was hard to find as it was haute saison afterall. So my husband has to drop us near the restaurant and parked down by the port. It was easy to find as it was by the chapel. We had no problem reserving... More

Fish unbelievably fresh and so lovingly and expertly prepared you'll swear you've never tasted anything as scrumptious ever before! And served with great attention and dedication. Surroundings and atmosphere make you feel you're in authentic Corsica. Being exceptionally lucky, we were even treated to guitar and Corsican songs! The one place in Bonifacio NOT TO BE MISSED!!!

The food here is outstanding. Yes, it's pricey, but we loved this as our one big splurge and it was worth every penny. My husband, who does not get excited about food, couldn't stop raving. He loved his foie gras appetizer and if you're willing to blow it, the Chateaubriand for 2 people was EXCEPTIONAL! Service was very good and... More

Our group of 26 visited Restaurant Stella D'Oro for lunch with our tour guide. The food was just fantastic. They allowed me to split my meal so I had half serving of stuffed mussels and half serving of cheese ravioli. I don't think I've had a better meal anywhere on this trip. Others had lasagna, aubergine or salads. Another huge... More

Stella D'Oro is in Bonifacio's haut-ville. My husband had the tasting menu and I had their Corsican ravioli which was wonderful. Food was full of fresh and you could taste fresh herbs in the mussels and ravioli. The sauce for the ravioli was made with fresh tomatoes. The mussels and aubergine were delicious. My husband had a lovely slice of... More

Expensive but worth it. Absolutely fab experience. We had Carre d'agneau - lamb, Fille de Boeuf poele - fillet steak - the best I ever tried, Filet Stella d'Oro - similar in preparation to beef wellington, good but I liked the regular better, Aubergines a la Bonifacienne - absolutely a must though I am still not sure what I was... Although in the main tourist strip of rue Dorio, this restaurant serves excellent local fare at very reasonable prices. We ate the specialities du maison, aubergines, moules farcies, pates, all delicious, and staff were very helpful and attentive.

We were lucky enough to get a reservation at Stella D'Oro on a busy weekend. Even though Bonifacio is a touristic town, the great Chef at this restaurant takes pride in the quality of her meals. We had delicious Ravioli made from homemade pasta with an amazing sauce. Also try the mussels appetizer which were amazing. This is a family... More

Friendliest service we have encountered so far on our travels in France! Food was excellent. Felt atmosphere lacked a little bit.

What a great restaurant this is, good food and good wines for a very acceptable price. We where allowed to have dinner here with 10 people at 22:45 hours. Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. If I ever return to Bonifacio, of which I am sure I will, I will for sure book a table at Stella D'oro again!
