Already when making the reservation over the phone, the people were kind in tone of voice. The place is on two floors, not too big that it feels like entering what might have been a home. we were perceived to speak Spanish, so were sent a young waiter that spoke Spanish, it turns out he is one of the sons... If you are out to find something special for dinner, this restaurant, which was riun by the same family for 3 generatios is one of the best in the old city of Bonnifacio. The service, including the cook is run by nearly entire family and they often come to your table to inquire in a gentle and polite way about... More

This restaurant was the most disappointing experience of our stay in Corsica. The waiter recommended the catch of the day at 400 grams per person. We ended up with not too large portions of very oily fish, full of bones. As mentioned in other reviews, the catch of the day seems to be the trick to increase the bill. Also, several... More

Not only will you be having diner in a typical Corsican decorated restaurant but you will taste very good Corsican food and meet the charming and nice family that runs the place. Enjoy the "moitié-moitié" or Lobster Tagiatelle. Plate are well sized so dont over order. I went 3 times and each time it was good, friendly. A must try... More

While the kitchen staff and the pastry chef will be working upstairs to create an incredible experience, Cedric Roeehi and Anthony Chandelier speak perfect english as they present the wonderful menu. My wife and I had a wonderful, and not most expensive, white wine suggested by Cedric for our seafood celections. A south Corcian bottle of Vermentino that had a... More

Went to Stella D'oro bec of the recommendation from tripadvisor. I dare say that it was faultless. Parking was hard to find as it was haute saison afterall. So my husband has to drop us near the restaurant and parked down by the port. It was easy to find as it was by the chapel. We had no problem reserving... More

Fish unbelievably fresh and so lovingly and expertly prepared you'll swear you've never tasted anything as scrumptious ever before! And served with great attention and dedication. Surroundings and atmosphere make you feel you're in authentic Corsica. Being exceptionally lucky, we were even treated to guitar and Corsican songs! The one place in Bonifacio NOT TO BE MISSED!!!

The food here is outstanding. Yes, it's pricey, but we loved this as our one big splurge and it was worth every penny. My husband, who does not get excited about food, couldn't stop raving. He loved his foie gras appetizer and if you're willing to blow it, the Chateaubriand for 2 people was EXCEPTIONAL! Service was very good and... More

Our group of 26 visited Restaurant Stella D'Oro for lunch with our tour guide. The food was just fantastic. They allowed me to split my meal so I had half serving of stuffed mussels and half serving of cheese ravioli. I don't think I've had a better meal anywhere on this trip. Others had lasagna, aubergine or salads. Another huge... More
