Corsican Italian mix cuisine

Nice restaurant that serves typical Corsican dishes along with good Italian pasta varieties. It's bit on the expensive side but definitely worth it. We had a grilled who's fish that was perfect.

Went here with our friends after sailing into Bonafacio one night. This place is really a great find. As long as you're able to make it up all those stairs from the port. Our group tried almost everything on the menu and some things I recommend- the Aubergine and mussels appetizers-SOO Flavorful and very good! We also had a huge... More

This was our favorite restaurant while in Bonifacio...The restaurant has been owned by family for generations. The wines were wonderful, the service amazing, and the food both typical and unique to this area. The soup de poisson and the pasta langoustine were the best I have had. Truly a memorable and unforgettable experience for myself and the other six in... More

We didn't really like this restaurant I'm afraid. Nothing specific to dislike but not to our liking, not our sort of place I suppose, a bit pretentious and silly prices for not a lot. It was our last night and we elected to stay in the haut ville rather than head down to the port where we had eaten every... More

Special place!! Please don't miss it. We are in a boat trip through Spain and Italy and decided to spend one night in Bonifacio. Best decision we made!! Gorgeous place! We found this place and had the best dinner so far including Spain and Italy... Must go!!

The Eggplant Bonifacio was one of the best dishes we have ever had anywhere. However to get there we had to overcome the waiter's insistence that we really wanted to order the much higher priced sampler of three dishes which included the eggplant. The waiter served us the sampler anyway--which we refused and finally got the eggplant as ordered after... More

Let's be clear: food is excellent at Stella d'oro. House specialties like Aubergines à la Bonifacienne and Lasagnes au four are definitely safe bet. Menu is well balanced with seafood (pates aux homard: top!), fish (assortment of grilled fish: top!) and meat (cochon grille: top!), deserts are ok. Wine list is short but they have some good stuff. staff is... More

It is a good restaurant in a location right in the Haute Ville - but it does not reperesnt good value for money.

This was by far one of the best meals we had in all of our 6 week trip! I had the seafood risotto (which had a hint of tarragon in it) and the scallops on the top were sheer perfection! My husband had the duck and vegetables - a total melt in your mouth experience! This family run restaurant would... More

The duck was simply to die for. Perfect cooking and the sauce was scrumptious. The fresh pasta melted in my mouth. The frasier was unbelievably delicious. The staff was so helpful and patient with my questions. They were so polite and attentive in a natural welcoming way. It was a special bday dinner for me and this restaurant exceeded my... More
