Authentic food and atmosphere

This place caught our eye because of how "old school" and authentic it looked from the outside. Once inside it indeed had plenty of atmosphere and was bustling with jovial diners having good times in several languages. We had a cozy table in the rear of the main dining room with bookshelves, old... read more

Beautiful lamb dishes, great staff, superb wines. Sitting out on the deck, with a view straight into the kitchen was terrific. The chef was a real character and it was so entertaining watching him cook the dishes - what a master!

All food is sourced locally and cooked before your eyes. Quite small and two-thirds of it is actually a cave, with even the seats cut out of the rock around the outside wall. Food excellent, going from 9Euro (sizable omlette), through a set menu, to plat du jour. Good staff and wide chose of wines - beer also available (Pietra,... More

Right on Bonifacio harbour quayside intimate atmosphere and good value for money menu of the day at 22 Euros without wine. The first course pate de foie was excellent and the lamb and pork dishes were superb. The only black mark was that I asked the waiter for an ordinary Corsican red wine and he chose one of the most... One of the best value of Bonifacio: simple and tasty dishes served by a friendly and efficient staff. Good news: prices are decent here!

Typical and original plates accompanied with excellent wines (try the red bio one, astonishing!) in a lively atmosphere as the place seems to be crowded all the time.

I had a lamb dish with superb flavours that I was unable to fully identify. All I can say is that every bit was eaten with the last drop of sauce captured on the bread. The meal was large with a generous salad. We were with a group of 6 diners all of whom had different meals and all of whom... More

It was so good, we ate there both the nights that we were in Bonifacio.(almost unheard of for my wife and I to eat in the same place twice, when on holiday) We've been here before in past years, and unlike another reviewer, we are fans. (but then we don't mind un-dressed salad). We had the dishes that come in... More
