We stopped on our way to Shaba, lured by Chestnut in the name, as we were hoping they might be selling chestnuts. That was not the case, we however discovered our favourite spot for a bite and coffee on the road. The place is really cute, with homemade bites which were really tasty and coffee is really, really great! a... More

The warmest welcome & wonderful service. Food is always tasty with the freshest ingredients - much from their organic vegetable garden. The best salads you will have tasted & amazing Laikipia steak. All of this at an incredibly reasonable price.

The Cape Chestnut is a great informal restaurant serving great home-made fare from a small menu. Lots of outdoor eating, both undercover and under the trees.

I've been to Cape Chestnut many times, and I must say when I travel to Nanyuki its a must to visit. The food there is fantastic and the deserts even more so! Its great value for your money too! Definitely a must visit if you're ever in the Nanyuki area.

I've eaten here twice now since arriving in Nanyuki had the tapas style dinner on the Friday then curry lunch on the Sunday. Great food each time and a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere, I will definitely be going back soon.

As a regular customer of this lovely restaurant set in a green oasis TGIF takes on a different meaning. From 7 pm on you enter the candle lit veranda, greeted by the staff john, Richard and Joyce. The jiko,s are lit and give out lots of heat when needed. You have to book most weeks. The tapas menus varies every... More

A lovely place - serene garden setting, pretty building and friendly, attentive and professional staff. And a woodpecker did his thing on a nearby tree trunk, which was a novel lunch experience! The emphasis on local and home-grown produce means good flavours and a sense of reassurance that the proprietors care about what they're doing - foodwise and also for... More
