YUMMY food great ambiance

Love this place for their food. Not had a bad meal here. Very good ambiance, great staff, can be slow at times.. but they are really good. The steaks were made to perfection. great place to have a meal and a drink. Always a fireplace to keep the Nanyuki cold away

Good food and nice and cool atmosphere in the blistering August heat. The only underside during our meal was that the waitress would not offer the complimentary crisps, reason being that "your meal would not be long" !

Sorry, should probably tell you all about the food etc which is very good but overpriced for the area, especially if you are a backpacker. But what is great about this place is it is properly out of the hecticness of Nanyunki but still on the outskirts of town which is very accessible by taxi or boda boda. The service... More

We visited Kongoni Camp for a very tasty meal. Kongoni is a blend of 'African' and 'Western, mid Atlantic', with the style and decor. There is also a bit of Italian thrown in, via the menu. We arrived late afternoon, without booking. Staff were friendly and accommodating and service was prompt. The menu leant towards western food, so if you... More

The service is terrible and the waiters take ages to serve even drinks. The food served is average and you need about one hour before it is served. If you complain , there is a lady manager who is more than willing to throw you out. The workers look helpless although they always wear a plastic smile.

Having lived in Nanyuki for 2 years this was my favourite restaurant to visit. However in the last couple of months service has been poor, the price of food has risen and the portion size dropped. We normally dine out in a small group. In the last 2 months every order has had an error in it with some things... More

Used to be a great place to stop for lunch. Had lunch in December and service was great. However the camp alway uses trainees ans you hardly see the same face after a month. The chef used the same oil to fry fish and fries and poor ribs. Fries and ribs had a fishy taste. Ordered for a cup of... More

We have noted your concerns and are taking them very seriously as we have always been praised for providing excellent food and service to all our guests. We also have a very professional team of long serving employees that shadow interns intermittently training with us; it is highly regrettable and unfortunate if you received poor service as a result of... If you are travelling to Nanyuki, make sure you stop by Kongoni camp which is on the main road of Nanyuki>Meru Highway. It is owned by a gentleman (Edwin) who is a professional hotelier. The inside ambience is just amazing. The huge wood sofas with extremely comfortable cushions right by the fire place gives it a very relaxed look. Inside,... More

Ate here pretty much very weekend for three months and always left stuffed. Good choice of food on the menu and good service. If I head back to Kenya I'll be back here in a shot.
