Patio dining

We had lunch here on a sunny February day and sat out on the patio. It is popular with "hikers and bikers",but we did not feel out of place at this casual "locals" spot. It was a bit pricey, but lunch included wine and beer.We were on vacation and expected higher prices for this weekend.

My husband and I dined here (with a Restaurant.com certificate) when visiting Zion last month. The restaurant looks to be in an old gas station and is adjoined to a gift shop. But don't let that fool you; the menu is not what you'd expect. It is what I'd call "high-end TexMex". We started with the calamari. We both were... More

The fish tacos were excellent. Also the southwestern salad. Both very plentiful and tasty. Highly recommend it.

They were quite busy when we were there and they warned people just entering that their orders would come up slowly. Fortunately, we just beat the rush. The food was reasonably priced and very delicious. Service was efficient and friendly. Yelp says that they're an Asian Fusion restaurant but that's not true at all. The owners have tried to get... A mexican mix of different style food!? Not sure what to make of it ! All outdoor eating under a canopy and with propane heaters. Enjoyable food. Wraps, salads, hamburgers etc!

We went to Whiptail for lunch on our last day in Zion, not having it be our first choice because of reviews we had read, about poor service. We had anything but bad service. Whiptail is a small cafe style establishment located on the main road to Zion. They have imaginative and delicious twists on American and southwestern staples. We... More

This looks like a remodeled gas station with a souvenir shop. The menu is not large but the food is very good. Try the spaghetti squash enchiladas. The staff is friendly and don't rush you. What could be better than a relaxed outdoor meal and a cold one in the shadow of the mountains of Zion National Park?

We definitely enjoyed our meal at Whiptail Grill, especially my wife. Lots of unique selections and including lots of choices for those pesky vegetarians. Inhabiting an old gas station, it's an unusual place with mostly outside seating but don't let that fool you about the quality of the food. My wife declared their chile rellenos the best she'd ever tasted.... More
