We were in Springdale for 3 nights and ate at Whiptail for one of them. It is a converted old gas station, not exactly upscale, but the outdoor dining on a nice day is great. Nice location with great mountain views. The food was excellent, mostly Mexican and great value for money. Great service too. If you have nice weather... More

Reluctantly visited Whiptail Grill on suggestion of staff at Quality Inn where we were staying. Whiptail is just next door to the QI and is housed in a converted gas station. We were very tired so took the path of least resistance. Most seating is outside in old gas bays -- great views but it still was an old gas... More

It is amazing what comes out of this tiny kitchen in what looks to be a former gas station. Really great Mexican food prepared very carefully and with excellent ingredients. It gets very busy and occasionally there is a wait but it is all worth it.

Pros: - The staff is friendly if a bit harried at times. - The food is excellent. - We had ribs (best my wife ever had), the large tortilla stuffed with all kinds of stuff and chicken and smothered in tomatilla sauce and cheese, and zucchini shredded with corn tortillas. - Again, the food was excellent. I cannot recommend this... More

Our favorite meal of the entire vacation – even better than the posh expensive restaurants in Vegas! Perfect laidback vibe, absolutely delicious food! My husband raved about the black beans – I loved the squash and goat cheese enchiladas, then loved the chocolate peanut butter habanero crème brulee even more!!

You would never guess this little hole in the wall has such amazing food. Ordered the "mexican pizza" could not believe how good it was! And definitely large. The tortillas and salsa were great as well.

Tables are set up outside on a makeshift patio, and the menu is fairly small, but the food was hearty and tasty. The wine was adequate but a broader selection would have been a plus. Wait staff was friendly and helpful. We'd go back in a flash.

This is the place to-go place for Green Chile Cheese Burgers in Springdale. It hit the spot after hiking all day in Zion National Park.

We ate here twice. Once for lunch and then next time for dinner. The food was great. Service was great, too.

We ate at the Whiptail Grill two nights. The first dinner was delicious - fish tacos, enchilada and spring salads. We sat outside with fantastic views of the mountains. The food was delicious, and the Grill great fun. The second night, we did not want to have a full meal, so ordered the Mexican Pizza, with shrimp and split it.... More
