upon arriving, we wanted to eat here... upon check-in we were told they were closed? I'm just curious if it is closed for good, or they were just closed for the week we were there? I noticed the Driftwood was open for business?

when in springdale, try to eat here at least once ,,,,,,,,,,,, you won't be disappointed. We have been to "88" on 5 different occasions and it's a very relaxing and beautiful senic place.
Had a really nice dinner there. Food was great- surprising for location. Had a great view of outside and saw there was a small table under a tree outside which seemed very romantic.
Had a great New Year's Eve dinner. The place was busy but we were never rushed. Excellent salmon, steaks and dessert. Looking forward to coming back in the Spring of 2013.
We went here for NYE dinner. Sounded like they are normally closed for the season but open up between Christmas and New Years.
Overall I found the food and the experience mediocre compared to what they are trying to be. I had a pear salad which was good and not over dressed, but the pear was hard and not ripe....

Ate at Paralle 88 last night and had a delicious meal! We started with the beet and house salads, the dressing was the perfect amount and very tasty. My husband enjoyed every bite of the angel hair pasta with capers, heart of palm, and kalmata olive topping with shrimp. I had the pork tenderloin with polenta, the pork was done...

Pricey dinner for an average steak and cold vegetables to go with it. Salad came without dressing. Wine selection a bit limited.
While staying at the Driftwood Lodge we enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Parallel Eighty-Eight. The restaurant is alittle on the high end but worth it. The food and service was excellent. Would recommend to anyone staying in Springdale.
