A higher - end place, it did not disappoint. We made reservations on Open Table but did not need them (late Feb). The atmosphere, good, portions, wine selection - all were top notch. The outdoor deck looked great but it was too cold to be open. It is not budget-priced but is good value for city... read more

'Cafe' is probably not the word I would choose to describe this restaurant. Honestly, when I think of cafe, I think of booths and rickety tables, loud noises and busy waitstaff. For Springdale, this is one of the upscale places to eat in town. Definitely a romantic spot for dinner with warm decor and tasteful table settings, soft background music, and... More

We had a truly wonderful evening at the Spotted Dog. My wine-snob partner was really impressed with the 140+ choices and as always we had an excellent bottle. With a Mardi Gras theme, they had a gumbo soup that was one of the best soups I have ever had. The presentations are lovely.....we enjoyed watching our neighbor's food come out... More

During our 4 day trip to Zion, we wanted to have once elegant and fancy meal and this was just the right place. The food was excellent and so was the service. My wife and 2 teenagers, all of them enjoyed their dinner. Their wine selection is very good. I highly recommend this place.

Positives - lively, busy restaurant with very good range of choices. Food generally pretty good though slightly mixed - the chicken with salsa was good as was the tuna and the ribs, the meatballs got the thumbs down. Hard to say anything wrong with it - and good value - but at times didn't quite hit the mark. But if... More

This place was very unexpected. The menu had very nice dishes, not your typical burger and pizza outside of a national park. Beyond that they food was actually really good, again not something you expect near a national park. Service was good. Bar had a great selection, Guinness on tap. Atmosphere was excellent and romantic. We actually ate here twice... More

My husband and I had Christmas dinner at The Spotted Dog Cafe. While the ambiance was very nice (not too loud) and the service was very good, the food (and number of entree choices) was not spectacular. I was looking for a non-mean dish and only found a few options, which were both pastas served with heavy cream sauces.

In this area of the southwest there are plenty of beautiful natural wonders, but there are precious few memorable dining experiences. While staying at Zion Lodge inside the national park, we had one dinner here and were very impressed. The wine list was outstanding considering the location and the meals were generously proportioned and well prepared. Service was also outstanding.

My boyfriend and I wanted a light meal so we sat at the tiny bar and ordered the beet salad, French onion soup and corn chowder. Also had wine by the glass and beer. The corn chowder and salad were excellent but the onion soup wasn't that great. The Spotted Dog is a nice, cozy little place and I would... More
