Had to go there just because of the name

We were looking for a place for take out. The hotel we stayed at in town, The Driftwood Lodge has a nice picnic area. We loved the name of the place and decided to give it a try. Fifteen minutes later we left with yummy sandwiches and drinks! Nice selection, even for those of us who don't eat... read more

bad service and mediocre food, you're better off going somewhere else down the street. wouldn't recommend it if you're getting anything but pizza.

We visited on Saturday, The four of us had a good variety of menu items, including a great wood fire pizza, lemon chicken wrap, ribs and a burger. All were great. We were on the patio and they had a great local group playing throughout the evening. Our server was very friendly and checked back with us to see what... More

Tried to call for a take-out order, and they don't answer their phone! Love the Cubano Sandwich, when they don't forget the pickles!

No full bar here...just beer and wine. The food was just ok. We ate most of what we ordered, but really didn't care to take leftovers home. Maybe just our taste, but I would not return.

Decent Restaurant that I had to try with a name like this. It turned out "Flying Monkey" originates from the days when the US Airforce was trying to develop an ejection seat fro jet pilots. They used a long, flat mesa to launch a jet sled to 2,000 mph as the story went. And then eject the crash dummy, named... More

We prefer to eat at local restaurants when we travel. We had high hopes for this one and the brick oven prepared food. The pizza had little sauce or toppings, but everything else was good. While the restaurant wasn't crowded, the service was slow and just ok. We got a lot of excuses. One of our four meals didn't come... More

Our hosts told us that the food here is good, but warned us that the wait staff is slow. The restaurant terrace had quite a few customers, but was not full. There were two tables with a couple each inside. We were sat after a long and confusing wait. We sat for 10 minutes watching the other inside customers get... More

Quality Pizza with all that spinning of dough etc. The Manager Elijah spent time with us and we felt comfortable being waited on by Diane. Friendly Bunch. Had the BBQ Pulled Pork Pizza which was lush. Everything was fresh. Highly recommend.

Seriously one of the best restaurants my husband and I have ever been to. We are pretty laid back people and the Flying Monkey has a very laid back and relaxing atmosphere. Our server (I wish I had asked her name) was wonderful! We ordered a flight of local brews and she brought out some of her favorites for us.... More
