Most everyone will say it is overpriced but it is nice and relaxing. We enjoyed it but experiencing it once was enough for us!

The waitstaff is stellar - friendly, helpful, quick. Here's the thing: On the 6 page menu, 5 pages are drinks and 1 contains all the food choices. The daily soups were truly outstanding (they come from the dining room at the other end of the hotel.) The rest of the menu was MEH. I could have found better sandwiches for... More

Imagine my disapointment, ordering a Vodka Tonic after a long day hiking, to be gieven this foul tasting machine generated stuff. 'Don't you have tonic water' I asked. 'That is tonic water' he replied. But it wasn't. It came from a machine. And it tasted nothing like Tonic Water.

Like an out of date cafe with poor standard of food. It isn't a bar in the true sense of the word and has no soul.

The cost of a turkey sandwich is $18.50, this place is definitely a rip off. The property is beautiful, so I would recommend skipping lunch and going there just for a drink.

Being at this place (the Ahwahnee hotel) you just have to live the experience and have fun... yes, a little pricey, but is a good option, nice menu, fast waiters and if you eat in the outside tables as we did, you'll have good company too (Squirrels trying to get a bite ;-)... don't feed the squirrels signs around the... Had lunch here one day, but food was not fresh: stale bread on the turkey sandwich and average quality cheese. Quick breakfast fruit cup the next morning and the fruit was old and watermelon mushy, as if it had been made 3 days prior.

Go have lunch or a light snack. The experience is one you should have while at Yosemite. Beautiful architecture, very nice atmosphere. Service was a little slow, but it doesn't matter when you are taking in the wonderful surroundings!

After a sunset visit to Glacier Point, my buddy and I drove back to the Yosemite Valley very hungry for dinner. Had a good summer dinner at the Ahwahnee Bar and suggested we go there for a late dinner since many of the other Valley restaurants would be closing. The menu is limited to some sandwiches, tacos, salads, soup and... More

The food choices and quality were so-so. The wait staff seemed disorganized and distracted. OK for a quick bite to eat, but definitely not the place to go if you're a foodie. The Hotel Dining Room at the Ahwahnee and the Mountain Room at the Lodge are much better.
