Excellent alternative to dining room

We enjoyed both a light breakfast and lunch in / from the bar during our stay. The staff was most accommodating and the food was tasty and quickly prepared.

A lovely lunch spot. Ride your bike over and then enjoy lunch outside with that view. Good size lunches. A few more tables could be added.

The Room is beautiful built from rocks and wood. There is a small bar, but there are many tables to enjoy a meal or a drink. It is a cozy bar.

lots of family's or people who come to see the Ahwahnee, so it is crowded and people waiting around to sit down. Better to order a drink and go find a place to sit in the lodge by a fire or one of the areas to sit.

A comfort food pub style restaurant nested in the very classy and historic Ahwantee hotel. It is right when you come in on the left hand side of the lobby. Pretty much pub style. Parking is an issue. They have parking space, but not enough. It could be a better idea to park at the visitor center and walk the... More

Yes it is a place to get a great martini but it is also the place where families have informal lunch and dinner with their children after skiing or playing in the snow. Excellent Ahwahnee food and casual atmosphere families are welcomed

Good for an informal meal. The menu for lunch is almost the same as in the dining room. There is not much choice in either. Service was very good and food was excellent.

The Ahwahnee Bar is more than a bar. The waiters are great. The food is yummy. The view is relaxing and phenomenal.

Love this place. It's worth coming midday, midafternoon, or any "off" time to avoid crowds. Food options are limited but tasty. Dining inside or out on the patio, lingering over a drink, chatting with friends and fellow travelers...a very relaxed atmosphere but not sloppy. This is the nicest spot in the valley, after all, so people maintain their dignity.
