great location

A beautiful outdoor space to have cocktails and appetizers even when camping. We were with friends and enjoyed some wonderful appetizers and cocktails, the appetizers were delicious everyone tried a new cocktail that they had never had. The staff was great and the views breathtaking.

We liked the casual atmosphere in the Ahwahnee Bar, and we loved their antipasti, served with crisp crostini. It was heavy on the meat, with prociutto, salami and a carpaccio, huge stuffed green olives, marinated mushrooms and artichoke hearts and red peppers, served with thick slices of a crusty white bread and butter. The no-gluten chocolate torte with raspberry sauce... More

We had the antipasti which was large enough for two. Very tasty with different meats, olives, cheeses, marinated mushrooms and artichoke hearts with crostini and warm bread. Oh, dessert, the chocolate genache. Service was excellent.

I've been meaning to write this review for years! We are fortunate to eat at the Ahwahnee dining room once a year. While we wait for our dinner reservation, we order drinks at the Ahwahnee Bar at the other end of the hotel. This year, once again the hostess says that there are no seats at the bar but that... All got bounced ouf of the Ahwahnee Dining Hall for failing to meet the minimum dress code for dinner. So where do you dining hall rejectees suppose to go to eat dinner? Why at the nearby Ahwahnee bar. open 2pm to 11pm. We... More

Monday morning I was hanging out at the lobby for an organized tour and came inside to buy a coffee and they told me it was free. i was not a hotel guest. How nice of them! The coffee was good on top of that, and you can just hang out at the beautiful Ahwahnee for hours by their fireplaces.

OK - The choices for a drink in Yosemite valley are limited to a handful of places. This however is our favorite place to go for a drink. During the sunshine hours, the beautiful patio area is so nice to sit at and enjoy a drink, perhaps an appetizer, and pleasant conversation while enjoying being in Yosemite Valley area. We... More

A carry over of what we expect of the Ahwahnee , exceptional service , amazing food and a comforting lodge like atmosphere. On a sunny day we sit out on the patio enjoy a drink and gaze up at the magnificent Valley walls.
