We were here when the dogwoods were in bloom and the weather was perfect for sitting on the veranda and drinking Park Avenues. The bartender, whose name I'm sorry I didn't get, was most excellent. When I'm stressed now I imagine myself right back there, it helps.

The Bar is actually a cafe that serves reasonably priced food with very friendly and attentive servers, located in the historic Ahwahnee Hotel. Having vacationed in Yosemite Valley for over 10 visits now, I can say, hands down, casual dining in the Ahwahnee Bar is the best place for your time and money (with the exception of the Ahwahnee Dining... The bar has no A/C. It was 90+ outside and inside! We had to find someone to wait on us. Not sure we would go back specially when it is hot outside.

Glad we ate there once, but $18.50 for a pastrami sandwich with potato chips is out of our normal budget. It was nice being there sitting outside by the pool and enjoying the beautiful scenery. The splurge was nice it we are not likely to return.

Grab a nice coffee and stroll the grounds outside the bar for a quiet morning. Then if you are a breakfast person try the restaurant for their brunch. The bar in the afternoon seemed full of loud tourists so I found it most pleasant to sit outside with my beer and enjoy the view in relative quiet.

Good drinks and a unique menu for the health-conscious and sophisticated palette. View of Glacier Point and the Ahwahnee Grounds.

We had breakfast at the Ahwahnee. Don't miss the homemade pastries. They are happy to make special items in consideration of food allergies.

Had to eat here instead of the dining room due to the dress code. Food was fine...nothing really spectacular. It wasn't very busy, so I thought that service could have been better.

I gave this bar a "very good" review because overall the Ahwahnee is a beautiful, grand hotel. However, the bar is a bit disappointing. The dining room is much better. And, the lobby and outside seating area are very nice. Drinks and food were good. Just didn't have the ambiance I expected. The dining room is so magnificent. The bar... More

After the bus stopped at the Ahwahnee, we decide to check out the Ahwahnee, when we found the bar. They have first come/first serve seating in the back. It is really pretty, where you can see dear and other wildlife. You can also see Half dome and glacier point, which are really pretty near sunset. The drinks and service are... More
