Great spot for light meal

The service was exceptional and the food, while not a lot of choices, was very good. The tables were sticky (due to the finish) and that was a detriment.

We ate here on arrival and had 3 Lamb chops each with mashed potato and cauliflower and some wine. Chops cooked well but for 100$ expensive. Not relaxing as waiter was erratic and although quiet for the restaurant at this time seemed busy all the time.

We sat at the table for a good 10 minutes, saw the wait staff but apparently they couldn't see us as they never stopped by our table. We weren't going to get any service, we left.

Lots of good people watching, famous rock climbers anyone?, at the glass wall and fireplace lodge bar. Expensive, tho need not be if NPS would relax general policy of allowing overpricing in our, Our National Parks.

We arrived after 9PM and was directed here because it was the only place to get food (restaurant and food court were closed). Food was reasonably priced, but service was slow because apparently kitchen was understaffed. One of the food items we initially ordered was unavailable because they were out of the food item.

The great atmosphere saves this rating from being a two. The food isn't poor, but my complaint is that the menu is dumbed down so that any ten year old could prepare it. You could save yourself a ton of money by bringing your own food to Yosemite and you would eat no worse. Obviously my point is that you... More

Great steak and service. No reservations unless you area large group (8 or more), so you may have to wait a while at peak times. Good food, service and wine, thou - as always - you pay for being in Yosemite. Suck it up and savor it!

The Swedish fireplace is awesome...but this place is pretty basic. Food and drink is overpriced, but people seemed to like the chili.

The Mountain Room Lounge in the food area of Yosemite lodge is a great find. Friendly service staff, big windows to enjoy outdoor view, decent and reasonably priced wine list. This is not the Ahwahnee, which has a better wine list and I consider much more formal. However, I think it's good value and way above our expectations for National... More

Quiet and affordable, and much nicer than the cafeteria style food court. Large center fire place to sit around in the winter. Healthier food than the food court. Very nice.
