We ate breakfast here and had a very pleasant experience. We arrived around 8am and were promptly seated. Marek was our waiter and he was very quick and efficient. We liked this menu much better than any of the other national park breakfast menus. My husband and son had eggs, bacon and toast and I had the eggs benedict. All... More

I visited four different restaurants in and around Old Faithful during a 3-day stay. This one was the highest priced and probably lowest quality. Service was slow. Presentation was nice, but taste was average at best.

We got french toast and a hiker's special which were both very good! We came here two times and had a great experience both times!

We had a bad experience at this overpriced Xanterra restaurant. My husband ordered a spicy peanut pasta dish which he couldn't eat because it was so watery/soupy. They did end up not charging us for his meal. I ordered the rotisserie chicken. The first attempt that they brought out was a shriveled, dried up, over-done piece of chicken. When I... More

For all the rave reviews, we were really disappointed. The service was fine (actually a little intrusive) but the food just was not as advertised. I had bison short ribs that were dry and bland. My wife's salmon was overcooked and, again, bland. My daughter's prime rib was huge, but again, kind of without taste. Just not anything we got... More

We ate here as a family the first night of a 3 night stay. Unlike the Old Faithful Inn restaurant, this was easier to get into and we found the food comparable (though, as we expected, a little overpriced for what it is). The menu and food are fairly pedestrian but keep in mind the volume of people from different... More

The cafeteria at Lake Lodge was a better experience. This place was so overpriced for what you get in the entrees department it's ridiculous. The appetizers were good and the service was good. Though there is more selection I didn't feel the quality of the food was better than the cafeteria style places offered by Xanterra in the park. Perhaps... More

My husband and I had my birthday dinner at the Obsidian Dining Room. We ate early so we did not have to make reservations. I ordered the spinach salad, bison short ribs and a glass of wine. The short ribs were delicious. We had great service from everyone. It's a little pricey for the food, but remember you're in Yellowstone!

We were led to believe this is some of the best dining in the park. That might be true, but it's still overrated. The food was great, selections were plentiful, and it beat out other places in the park by a mile, but in the end it's still not all that great. It's still worth going to, but don't get... More

I looked all over the park for something Bison that wasn't a plain old burger. They have Bison Short ribs here that are amazing. In fact, this had some of the most exotic game in all the restaurants in the whole park. I ate breakfast here twice, and dinner once. Breakfast was the standard fare, (I think Xanterra uses the...
