Great place to eat in the Mammoth area of YNP

We ate breakfast here before exploring the Northern part of the park. The staff was friendly and attentive, the dining room was beautifully restored and well appointed and the food was surprisingly good. We have just come back from a trip to Yellowstone, where at Mammoth hot springs there were power cuts. Sure these things happen, my complaint is the way in which it was handled. Firstly, because they couldn't use the dish washing facilities we had paper plates. That I can live with. But from there on are my problems. The menu... More

We like to eat at this hotel dining room as the food overall is better than what we can find in Gardiner and the prices are actually lower as well. This time the range of the caliber of the food was all over the map. The best were the fish tacos and the worst was the BBQ chicken. The chicken... More

The food was delicious and the service fabulous. The busing of the tables was a little slow as it was the beginning of the seasons and there were not sufficient staff as yet. I very nicely told the manager, James Johnson, and he immediately started busing not only our table but all others as well. He is absolutely a great... More

Great locally grown and harvested fare. This includes Bison, Elk and other wildlife within a 500 mile radius. Good local beer selection and fun times interacting with the waiters, most of whom are from other countries and eager to learn American culture.

We had eaten in the cafeteria (not impressed) on previous visits to the park, but this time we happened to be in Mammoth when the dining room was open for lunch. We have found that the locally sourced food on the menus proves to be quite good. They had a bison chili that was delicious. DH enjoyed the burger (although... More

The main courses were ok - edible but nothing special. The bread was awful, we couldn't eat it. However, considering you're in Yellowstone National Park, it wasn't too bad! I would say eating here is a necessity rather than a treat if you're staying at Mammoth.

Went here for dinner. Nice menu. Since there is nothing else around the price could have been worse. Was pleasantly surprised that it was only an arm and not an arm and leg. Breakfast however we decided to try the short drive into Gardiner. Options here are few but we did find an affordable breakfast buffet that kept us full... More

My husband and I stopped here for breakfast on our way out of the park. Not a lot of choices in Mammoth itself, but there's this dining room and in the same building is a cafeteria style dining room...don't do what we did last year and go to the cafeteria, that was not great. The dining room was good, it... More

Had a good meal here. After a rather long day of driving my husband and I decided to treat ourselves to dinner at this restaurant, and we were pleased. Seating was fast and we were lucky to sit close to a window and were able to enjoy a nice view. Try and get a window seat if you can. The... More
