You will not be disappointed--nice selection of food, well prepared, and expertly served. An added bonus (in good weather--we had it both ways), is the view of the lake and the mountain range!

A meal or two at the Lake Hotel dining room is a must for our annual visits to the park. We usually have our "Farewell to Yellowstone" dinner here but on this trip it was the first stop of a nine night stay in the park. On this (September, 2014) visit we had both dinner and breakfast here. A pre-dinner... More

There isn't a bad seat in the whole restaurant, because they all look out over the lake. The hotel is older than Yellowstone Park and the architecture is indescribable. So eating dinner there is an experience in its self. The food was average but the views made it above average.

We are here our first night at Lake Yellowstone Hotel. Drinks in the bar were very good -- great view with the big windows. Dinner was good, service was great, but the food wasn't memorable. Probably what you would expect from a resort hotel restaurant.

a trip back in time, but with all the amenities. Right on the lake. Moose walking around, fishing, boating, plenty of hiking.

The inside of the hotel is beautiful, despite the unassuming and bright yellow exterior. The hostess put our name on the waiting list and said the wait would be 45 minutes at the very most. So we sat down and played cards and listened to the live music. After 45 minutes, we asked if our table was ready yet, and... More

The dining room itself is beautifully renovated and bright. The staff is professional and attentive. The food was very good, far better than any of the other restaurants we tried at Yellowstone of Grand Canyon (they are managed by the same company). Most of the menu is locally sources, sustainable and organic. Portion sizes are good but not massive if... More

Only two things good about this restaurant was the service and the decor. The food was the worst food we have ever had, anywhere. The salad lacked dressing, the soup lacked flavor, the trout was tiny, tasteless, and the "stuffing" was non existent. The cobbler dessert was a bun with watery ice cream. The scenery is minimal. Shrubs hide the... More

Worst hummus experience. Full of garlic. Spoiled our mood. We were so hungry and then had to eat cucumber tomato and pita... Being vegetarian is tough. Very disappointed with the staff. Breakfasts are good but we even got cheated for pancake stack.

Our party of four had an absolutely wonderful experience at this restaurant. We ordered four first courses and the bison fillet. They are all wonderful. And the price is extremely reasonable for the quality of food. Just a tip - the bison filet is lean but extremely tender and juicy.
