As part of a Gate One trip we stayed at Grant Village. We had no choice but to utilize the Grant Village Dining Room both for Breakfast and Dinner. Since Trip Advisor does not allow you to choose but one option I choose to review...the Dinner. You need a reservation and even with one you will wait because of the limited amount of servers they have. The food was good in my opinion. A little pricey but again what choices do you have when you are in the Park. Limited menu but we had no problem finding something to eat. First Bison burger and it was very good. Let's address Breakfast which was in my opinion not good. They need to figure out a way to keep the food hot and perhaps serve something that is better than the food they had. I did not know you could get oatmeal because it was not on the buffet but I asked and it was served to me. The first day it was hot and the second day as cold as ice. The manager was good about getting me a hot bowl and the servers are very good about paying attention for the most part. Again this was a tour and it is about the location and not the food.More

I had a wonderful experience at Grant Village Restaurant in Yellowstone National Park, where my spouse and I celebrated our 42nd wedding anniversary. The ambiance was delightful, and we were seated in an exceptional spot with a breathtaking view. To savor a variety of flavors,...we opted to share our meals. The bison burger with a Gluten-Free bun and fries was a delicious treat, while the trout, salad, and clam chowder offered a delightful range of tastes. What touched our hearts was the complimentary dessert, a brûlée cheesecake topped with succulent berries, adding a sweet touch to our special occasion. The staff was incredibly friendly, making us feel welcomed and cherished. The bill, including a 20% tip (we chose water to drink), came to $90. We didn't mind splurging a bit for such a memorable celebration. Grant Village Restaurant provided an unforgettable experience that combined scrumptious dishes, top-notch service, and a stunning backdrop of nature's beauty.More

We ate here in June for brunch. The food options were extremely limited. Powdered eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit and waffles. We arrived around 9 and some options were out of food that were never replaced. I recommend going somewhere else.

Menu was limited and food did not taste great. I had the tomato basil soup which was bland and almost inedible. Remainder of the order was below average... not what I would expect at the price or from a reservation-only establisment.

We had a dinner in this restaurant from grant village. Reservation mandatory. Small menus list but salad and bison burger were nice. Staff friendly as well.

During our recent Yellowstone trip, we ate at three of the more formal (by reservation only) NP restaurants - Lake Dining Room, Old Faithful Inn and Grant Village. Of the three, Grant Village was surprisingly our clear favorite. Dining area is attractive with a nice...full wall view of the lake. A nice varied menu (not extensive, but some nice dishes), prices were what you'd expect, there was attention to food presentation (even my steak fries were carefully stacked}, and most importantly, the food was tasty and properly seasoned. Server (Rachel) was friendly and attentive. The whole dining experience was to me, the closest to a nice restaurant environment while still in the park.More

Four of us had breakfast here last week. It may go down in our family history as THE WORST food we’ve ever had. The only option was a breakfast buffet, so we thought, ‘Well, how can they screw that up?’ Boy were we wrong. The...choices were scrambled eggs — which were stone cold; bacon, which was totally under-cooked and greasy; supposed French toast — which was also cold; a platter of pastries (which looked unappetizing so none of us tried); and a platter of chopped melons. Service was slow, and our waitress suggested a way to Old Faithful (going north towards Canyon) which would have resulted in hours-long delays. Fortunately we kept our original plan…Anyway, no one finished their food and we all went away hungry — even though it cost us >$16@.More

We came for the breakfast buffet. The food was average: eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, cereal, simple pastries. We came in the middle of serving hours with the hall less than half full, not at the end or anything. The large fruit bowl was...empty both times I went up, the salsa for eggs as well, the sour cream for eggs was empty and unfilled by the time we left, I took one of the last muffins and it remained empty for our full meal, and other tables mentioned potatoes were empty. Meanwhile, our waters were never refilled and we had to carefully catch our server for our check while he was struggling with another table's drink orders. Just overall blah. I think the breakfast would be greatly improved by charging for the buffet at entry and having a self-service drink station, so the servers could be repurposed to help with keeping the buffet stocked. Self-service would have been much less frustrating.More

The atmosphere was lovely and the service was excellent. The food, while limited and overpriced, was good. It was very late in the season so I understand that they're doing the best they can with limited resources and staff. My husband had the prime rib...which he said was cooked just right though the horseradish sauce could have had more kick. I had the arctic char. The portion was small for the price but the flavor was very good and it was cooked well. Be patient and understanding and you'll have a fine time.More

Our expectations were low as all services in the park are short staffed, however the food was very good and the service efficient and quick. The Article Char was very nice, but the wine list was very Spartan however.

No bread available first two nights at dinner, only one beer brand available. Staff seemed overwhelmed. Food was subpar and pricey. For $350 a night, you would think the buffet breakfast would be included, but plan on $20!

We had a meal in Grant Dining Room as there was no other option (don’t get me started on how limited the facilities in Yellowstone were - but there was no reduction in costs). Although we had booked in advance we had to wait for...25 minutes. The service was awful. Our waitress was flippant to the point of rudeness. When our food came we asked the server what was in the sauce , he just said “I don’t know “. No effort to find out and tell us. They used the excuse of being short staffed a couple of times, but there seemed plenty of staff but no one actually in charge of them and directing them what to do. The food was mediocre at best. Reheated and bland. I suppose with a captive audience you can get away with appalling service and poor food, but it shouldn’t be so.More

Not quite a classic lodge dining room, but nice enough. Dinner food was good, with a limited menu, but service was perfunctory. Breakfast buffet needed more choices and faster replenishing. They knew they were under-staffed and left many tables open while the wait line grew...long. Our stressed waiter was trying hard and generally succeeded.More

14th of August; they had run out of almost everything for dinner. No bread; they served us the last piece of prime ribtjat was left ; it was overcooked and tasted like rubber although we had asked for medium-rare. The dinner was served after about...an hour since the order. Avoid going for dinner there when in YellowstoneMore

Very limited menu. Only 3 dinner options-non vegetarian and one of the 3 was an $18 burger. Rolls were supposed to be included. When we asked, we were told they were out. They weren’t going to communicate that. I had the prime rib which was...just ok. Came with mashed potatoes which were dry. My wife had the char which had little flavor and was a very tiny portion. Very expensive for below average food. Do yourself a favor and go to Old Faithful Inn.More
