In my opinion, the cafeteria serves sizeable portions of reasonable food at good prices. We ate there all three evenings of our stay in Canyon. The hot food menu was a bit limited and doesn’t seem to change. We tried turkey, chicken and prime rib, with various combinations of sides. The chicken was our favourite. I found the prime rib... We had lunch here on our way down from Lamar Valley. We both had the Huckleberry BBQ Chicken. Ok, the chicken has to be precooked frozen chicken. I didn't see or taste any BBQ on it and from the looks, it was precooked frozen. The Huckleberry Sauce may have been good on something else, really sweet, but not bad, it... More

My husband and I went here for ice cream one night..... Just beside the cafeteria is their ice cream shop.while we are appreciative that the supervisor on duty did redo our ice cream with gloves on.....It is kind not a good idea to be eating ice cream here. We have something called norovirus that comes through here every year and... More

The food was good, but be sure the check the prices when you're buying. We had the huckleberry chicken with bbq sauce. Ok, I saw your eyebrows go up on that one, but it was good.

We stopped here for lunch and each of us had a bowl of chili. It was delicious!! The staff were very nice, and the restaurant was very clean. It was a nice stop to get out of the rain!!

On the plus side this place isn't too expensive. On the downside the food is basically what you would get in a British school for your hot lunch in the nineties.... cheap carbohydrates and lots of it. If you want to fill up for about 7 dollars on cheap stodge , go here. The burger bar in the grocery store... More

Same kitchen as dining room, same non professional chefs, same poor food. We've got to eat at canyon lodge as no alternative, so choose the cafeteria, you'll pay less to fill you tommy

We stayed at canyon for 6 nights in August 2014 so tried both the dining room and cafeteria - no contest in terms of value as the food all comes from the same kitchen and it's at least 40% cheaper than the dining room. The other curious thing is it's quieter than the dining room and gets more sun late... More

We ate at the cafeteria because the dining room was closed at 10 for breakfast. I'm glad we chose the cafeteria. It's pretty standard as far as cafeterias go. However the food was excellent. I had the breakfast burrito and was able to pick exactly what went into it. It was perfect.
