This place is a throwback to the old tourism days of Yellowstone. It has a great feel to it, the food is hot and tasty and the students, most of whom seem to be American, unlike other places in Yellowstone, were quick on their feet and helpful. But the best part is the rocking chairs on the deck outside. Could... More

It was a fun way to spend an evening. Nothing too exciting at the cook out but the ride was fun and scenery nice.

We stopped by for a late lunch because it was the closest lodge to us at the time (we had just been stuck in a "bear jam"). The food was decent, but I thought the menu was limited. The price is a little expensive. All-in-all, not a bad spot to eat if you're hungry and nearby, but at the same... More

I got a bison burger, husband got a hamburger and they were ok - nothing outstanding. We'd been camping and cooking all of our own food for days, so out standards weren't exactly high, but it was still kind of "meh". You're inside the park so you'll pay the usual high prices, but I will give the place this --... More

We had a late lunch here on our return from the Lamar Valley. We had to wait about 10-15 minutes for a table, but we found that when we were seated our waitress was very attentive and the menu had a lot of good options for everyone in our party, including a vegetarian. The food was good and not horribly... More

Ugh, this is not the ambiance of a lodge! The bright lights scream CAFETERIA! First, morning or night, you have to wait for the privilege to eat, even if 1/3 of the tables are open at dinner and more than half at breakfast. They are short staffed, so just because they had the tables, they did not have the staff.... More

Small, historic and quaint...don't miss dining at the Roosevelt Lodge. It was recommended to us by a friend who works for Park Service and I'm so glad we listened to her. I had the best ribs I have ever had in my life here and my husband had the bbq sandwich which was also delicious. You wouldn't think it's anything... More

This is ideally placed for having a lunch after returning from an early morning trip to Lamar Valley. The lodge is rustic, nowhere as busy as Canyon or OFI and full of old world charm. Ideally located for Lamar and northern section but overall Canyon is a better choice simply because of the central location. We arrived around 11-30 and... More

The historic lodge is charming, the food excellent and not necessarily your standard fare, though they have that too and the atmosphere is lively and full of fun. Waiting for a table outside with a drink in a rocking chair is great fun too, all so relaxing, listening to people telling their stories of the day. I only wish we... More

We ate at almost every lodge dining room during our 6 days in Yellowstone, and the Roosevelt Dining Room was by far our favorite. We ate there twice. It has AWESOME ribs (even on the kids menu)! All meals are served with unlimited corn bread and butter and honey. The menu has a variety of choices and is more "down... More
