I should start by saying they have changed the name of the restaurant again. The manager and staff are excellent. The pastry chef is amazing. The desserts are 5 stars. The only draw back is the entrees are relying on pre-fab sauces, etc. Stay at the hotel, have dessert there, but you may want to go else where for dinner.

We dined in the restaurant as we were staying in the hotel and arrived fairly late after travelling from New York. On check in at the hotel they informed us that we had a table reserved but when we went to the restaurant the manager had no booking, very strange as it had been booked 6 months previously. I can... We had both Meat and Fish. Everything we ate was cooked to perfection. We were originally brought the wrong salad which was immediatley corrected and they packed the wrong one to go. Made a great next day lunch. The only thing we didn't like was that we had to leave town and couldn't dine there again the next night -... More

The local, seasonal foods have been replaced by a new cook for Frozen Italian fare. It is not what it used to be. The business has seemed to fall out of favor with the locals and tourist. It seems it have an identity issue that does not resonate with its target clientele.

$7 for dessert is astronomical...it was 4 bites of a small chocolate cake and two bites of ice cream. Ridiculous!

Had dinner here one rainy night in October with my husband. We travel and eat out quite a bit and I was looking forward to some good food. The ambiance is ok, but not great, with a small number of tables in a very tall room, just blocked off from a bar with some portable walls. I started with french... More

Unusual Food- Well prepared. Real mashers, incredible dessert, unsual drinks, good service and reasonably priced.

We decided to have a nice dinner downstairs since we were staying at the hotel. The ambiance was very nice and the room was quite lovely. I think if we went back we would just have to try completely different things off of the menu. The wine that we had at $8/glass was only okay. I didn't actually finish it... More

Decided to go here since we were staying at the Hotel Clarence and were out all day and wanted a good sit-down dinner. We went at about 7.30 on Sunday and there were only 4 other tables occupied. I thought we'd be "rused" out of there--but more and more people came in, and they didnt seem annoyed at all! Decor... More
