Their chili dog was featured in the Washingtonian magazine so I had to try it out. I was sorely disappointed. I'm glad I didn't order two (which is my normal procedure). The chili was nothing more than some type of sloppy joe mix; the cheese topping (was it really cheese?) was gloppy and unappetizing; I didn't care for the family... More

If you are contemplating going to the Vienna Inn, this review is meaningless. You are either a regular who has developed a taste for the hot dogs and beer. Or you are a newby, going because of the Vienna Inn's reputation or because some regulars are dragging you there. The Inn has changed a lot over the 20 years we... More

When we first went to the Vienna Inn, you placed your order, ate, then went to the cash register and told the person there what you had. (S)he'd ring it up, you'd pay, and then leave. Unfortunately, some people took advantage of that trust and they had to start using guest checks like every other restaurant. It's still a great... More

I moved to NoVA in 1989 and have relied on the V.I. (Pronounced VEE EYE) by the locals for many great breakfasts, lunches, and dinners ... not to mention a few late night rounds of beer. The go-to dog with chile cheese and onion is a staple - but the whole menu is exactly what you want it to be... More

Have not been there in years, but they had cold beer and great chili dogs. Don't go in the bathroom - GROSS!

If you want a local neighborhood dive bar with good chili dogs, wings, and beer, this is the place! It doesn't try to be anything else, and the decor has been about the same for the 40 years we've been eating there. Only the owner changed during that time, but the purpose and atmosphere remain the same. Unpretentious is an... More

And that's not really a compliment. If you enjoy REAL dives, as in: not cleaned regularly, never painted, old, below average food, stale beer and poor-to-ok service then this might be your new home.

We always stop here when we come to visit family. The place was packed! Great food and great beer as usual once we got a seat! See you all in February!

this place was great. the menu is simple. it is a place for foodies who can laugh at how complex their food choices have gotten when they look at a menu with grits, eggs and country ham. Not cheese grits but plain old grits like your mom would make. I had to draw the line at the lipton tea bags... More
