Prompt service. Good katsudonburi. Not quite as good as that at Yosaku (DC) when the owner makes it, but quite serviceable. Rich miso soup. House sake reasonably priced.

Really great sushi/sashimi etc. We ordered chirashi - came with misu and a salad. you can also order a bento box - with a variety of Japanese choices. Nice atmosphere modern and comfortable.

The service is ok, the location isn't special, but the food is excellent and extremely well priced! The dragon roll and tuna avocado were both excellent... add a salad w ginger dressing for a $1 --- it's worth it!

Whenever i am in the DC area and i feel like a Sushi dinner, the only place to come in mind is Sushi Yama. Fresh Sushi, excellent service and they keep adding on new dishes on regular bases. Service is very friendly. Make sure you make a booking specially weekend. If you are a Uni lover like me Tuesday's is... More

Located at the end of a nondescript strip center, Yama is small but very attractive and clean (looking and smelling) with attentive service and impeccably fresh ingredients. It is easily the best and most enjoyable of the Japanese restaurants we've been to in the Washington area. A friend who is really a sushi afficionado from many trips to Japan says... More

I have been a fan of Yama Sushi for more than 6 years now. They have great sushi rolls, sashimi but I can also recommend their entrees. I recommend the dragon fly roll, the bubba roll, the sake sashimi or the spicy shrimp puff (delicious). Make sure to have a reservation especially on weekends since it can be very crowded.... More

Yama is tucked away in the corner of a small strip mall in Vienna. We normally choose the sushi bar, so that we can see what looks good and order accordingly. the food has been consistenely very good. (While this is my first review of the place, we have eaten there over a dozen times, since it is local.) No,... More

Sunday date night and Yama does not disappoint. Shared a fabulously delicious sushi and sashimi platter for two which came with a nice miso and salad. The plate was a great variety of rolls, and very fresh sushi. The evening was topped off with dessert, which we never have at Japanese restaurants, but the cheesecake tempura and red bean paste... We were in the area looking for a good sushi restaurant. With help from Trip Advisor, we found Yama. Although the restaurant was full on a Saturday night, there was an open table for two and we were seated quickly. Their sushi was very fresh and the portions were very generous. They had a few sushi roll combos I had... More

Enjoyed our experience at Yama as visitors to the area. Obviously a local favorite, we had several waitresses attending to our table. The sushi is reasonably priced and very fresh. A couple of the rolls weren't what I expected, but overall a great choice.
