An old-school Vienna landmark, excellent food, high prices

It's an institution. This is *the* old-school white-tablecloth Italian restaurant in Vienna. It has a special occasion vibe to it, the food is excellent, and the service is doting ... even if it is a bit stilted. This time we had the Spaghetti Chris Cooley (named after the Redskins' popular... read more

This restaurant has been a favorite for over 20 years and it's still top-notch. Reservations advised. This is our place to bring friends who love Italian food, and we go here to celebrate an anniversary or a birthday. As other reviewers have said, they serve classic Italian food and in great variety. My wife really likes the lamb shank and... More

This feels authentic. And the waiters speak Italian and say Prego nicely in response to your Grazie. We were a family of 6 adults for Mother's Day. Our meal was unrushed and they even brought us some biscotti while we were just talking at the table after our meal was finished. We started with the fried zucchini blossoms, a treat... More

This is such a classy place in Vienna. This is probably the finest dining you can get in VIenna. As a person who has been to Italy I have to say it is just like being back there. It has great food, I have never had something that I did not like there. It is expensive but I have to... More

Oversauced dishes that might have been invented in the 50's and callops that you can use as erasers pretty much sums up my impressions of this place. It's a Vienna staple but so is the Vienna Inn and both places might hold nostalgia instead of good food. Drive on traveler.

We had an amazing dining experience. The moment you are seated they bring you amazing bread with choices for topping - olive oil, butter, olive tapenade and sun dried tomatoes - incredibly delicious. Service is outstanding, we were enjoying the bread so thoroughly and hardly noticed when they had refilled the basket. Everything we ordered was delicious and served in... More

The homemade pastas are incredible. Order 3 of the appetizer size for dinner. The pasta is homemade and sublime! The Burrata salad is wonderful and the white asparagus was my Dad's favorite.

This was recommended by a friend so we were expecting good things. We walked into the restaurant at an off time. The minute we walked in there was some man who worked there having a very very loud "discussion" with another staff member. I think he was the manager. The person who was to seat us was not friendly when... More

We wanted to treat ourselves to a "white tablecloth" luncheon dining experience and selected Bonaroti. If you'e among the readers who have had lunch or dinner at this place you already know what a wonderful restaurant this is. For those of you who have yet to experience this place, you will thoroughly enjoy everything about Bonaroti from the greeting you... More

The Ristorante Bonaroti seems to be our "go-to" restaurant for celebrating Birthdays! We had early reservations to celebrate both my wife and father-in-laws birthday this weekend. What a great choice. How many restaurants do you never need to open the menu, because the specials list is so long and delicious? I think all six of us ordered from the special... More
