Akash is perfect for those Downtown take-out dinner nights! Great menu, friendly staff and delicious food. You can park beside the restaurant to grab your food and go.

I visited the Akash Indian restaurant in Cincy on Labor Day when many of the restaurants were closed. This is one of the few places that was open in the Fountain Square area. The place was almost empty about 7.30pm when I arrived - one other gentleman eating; but there were several take-out orders while I was dining. I ordered... More

I eat here about once per year in early June. I love Indian food and so am always looking for such restaurants when I travel. I'm always surprised by how few people are dining at Akash when I go. We are seated right away, and the service is excellent without being overwhelming. The food is quite good -- not the... More

We went with colleagues. Although some reviews were good the place is just average. The service is friendly, nice family run business, prices are very reasonable. The portions are very large. I could not even finish half of my biryani. It is wise to split portions. My biryany was not up to my expectations. Samosa was also nothing special. My grade... More

We went for the lunch buffet and were very impressed with the overall selection and ambiance. Not one item that we sampled was off flavor or not fresh. If you are going to order an Indian beer such as Taj Mahal, be aware that they come in 1 liter bottles. The server actually reminded us rather than letting us over... More

This large restaurant downtown owns only 2 high chairs, which were both occupied when we arrived on Saturday night. The owner told me that he has been there 15 years and never had a problem with this! The service was very slow. Additionally, the portions were pretty small--tons of sauce and only a few chunks of meat. Overall a disappointment.

This is a reliable Indian restaurant that we dine at frequently. All the food is excellent and the service is also.

My sister and I are frequent visitors to the wonderful restaurant. The food is consistently outstanding no matter what dish I have tried and the chicken curry is among the best I have ever had, including that I've had in London. They offer dishes in a variety of spicy versions. I can also heartily recommend the chicken vindaloo and any... More

Visitors to downtown Cincinnati should definitely put this Indian restaurant on their list. Downtown Cincinnati restaurants are not, as a rule, all that friendly to vegetarians, so Arkash should be a must for them. But, the menu is full of typical and not-so-typical dishes for every diner and they eagerly seek to match the spice heat level to your needs.... More

I've been here twice and each time was satisfied. Caution: portions are large, so don't load up on appetizers! Large groups may take a while to be served, but smaller groups are not a problem. The food is great and you can moderate the level of heat when you order. I'd suggest a low level of heat for newcomers to... More
