Over the years, we had some good times and meals, but with changing ownership things seem inconsistent. On our last visit we thought the food was very average and when we asked for a bit more pita for our hummus, we were told there would be a charge. We have not returned.

We stopped here for lunch during the holidays. Kids and grand kids were with us. I was impressed with the eclectic mix of food items on the lunch menu. More important, I felt that many of the items were fresh and had not spent the last week in the freezer. I don't remember all the food we ate but everyone... More

Got the ribeye sandwich, which was incredible, very tender and very tasty. They have a large selection of local beers, unfortunately I had a three hour drive ahead so I passed. Some of my companions ordered beers and said they were excellent. Great place to come for dinner.

Sunday May 12, 2013 My Mother's day experecience wasn't very pleasant except with one bright moment, I had all of my children with me even the ones from out of town. We went to the restaurant expecting to have a great time with good food. (1) When we arrived it was a little chaotic we were seated upstairs and then... More

We ate at the Iron Horse Mother's Day 2013 and did not enjoy the brunch at all. The food was cold and the syrup was not on the individual tables, instead it was being served in bowls from the buffet with a spoon. The waiter was very unprofessional as he took my husbands seat when my husband got up to... More

My husband and I love this restaurant. The food is wonderful but the atmosphere is even better. We go there not only to have a great dinner but to relax and smile. The upstairs (The Rail) is great for casual evenings and a little music but wish they would open the upstairs a little earlier (7:00 PM). Charming village surroundings... More

Had to do a business lunch near Sharonville and had remembered the Iron Horse from 15 years ago. The place has changed considerably- with everything looking brand new. Glendale is a very picturesque little village- with some nice shops- and a train track that is RIGHT next to the restaurant (hence the name). Other than being interrupted by overzealous train... There is a good chance a train or two will pass by while eating at the Iron Horse. Great if you are a trainspotter, not great if you are meeting someone for a dinner appointment. The food is good, not excellant, not bad. The prices are honest, not outrageous nor cheap. I've posted a few photos of the food and... More

Enjoyed my dinner. Very flavorful soup (butternut squash bisque). Warm sliced bread from Baguettes. Really enjoyed the Penne uBriache, which was a al dente cooked penne in a brandy cream sauce with ground sausage. Service was attentive. Finally, had soft finger style guitar by Tom Laskey in the background through the meal. Definitely Will return in the future.

We enjoyed delicious, unusual gourmet food and excellent service. The cheerful staff was also extremely careful working around our food restrictions. Definitely worth a detour.
