We couldn't decide where to go and decided to try Pit to Plate. After all, we live pretty close and have heard good things about it for years. We figured it would be.worth a try. WRONG. Very poor and slow service, they serve sweet iced tea but have no lemons (just packets of lemon crystals), the sauces are just ok,... More

If you want a good down-to-earth brisket sandwich with a number of sauces, give Pit-to-Plate a try. They are good people with good food at reasonable prices.

I'm a big fan of indie restaurants. I think the owner and chef can create a much better value by taking control over your entire dining experience than what a chain can achieve creatively. Pit to Plate nails this idea. You'll love it. I checked it out for the first time from a local friend's recommendation. We arrived on a... More

We have known Diane for years, she is wonderful. food is good and a nice place to visit. My fav is the chili mac and chicken wings. She will even smoke a turkey for you at the holidays

Admittedly I went on a weekday night but I was the only customer. More paper signs hanging everywhere than I've ever seen. Waitress/bartender was friendly but in a Jersey kind of way. Had the pulled pork sandwich which comes with 1 side, chips and pickle slices for $6 before tax/tip. 6 different sauces on the table but none was the... More

Very good pulled pork sammich. Went for lunch and will go back again. Price was good and service was excellent. Great western atmosphere. If like barbecue you will like this place.

We have eaten here for years and have never had a bad meal. The staff is friendly and treats you like family. The live blues and jazz bands are a very nice addition. The atmosphere gives you the feeling of a true southern BBQ joint. The main dishes are so good with plenty of food. We can't eat dessert, but... More

I love the wings here. You can get fried wings anywhere and they all taste the same. Try the roasted wings here. They are outstanding. They taste so good you don't need sauce even though they have six different kinds.

I've been spending more time in Mt. Healthy lately since a friend bought a farm and is in the middle of restoring it, so we've been checking out the local eateries. Pit to Plate is our go-to for a quick/hearty lunch. The BBQ is oh-so good, and the coleslaw is a great partner for the pork. The folks here are... More
