For a day of kicking back...

I love spending a couple of hours sitting on the patio, sipping a few cocktails, eating a nice meal and watching small planes taking off and landing at the Sky Galley! This is not airline food...it falls somewhere between good bar food and fine dining food. Extensive menu. Historic building and... read more

While visiting family, our daughter chose this restaurant. Located in the Lunken Airport building, is a small restaurant of booths and mostly tables, plus a bar. We were seated in the glassed in dining area where we watched the planes come in and fly out. There is a nice, eclectic group of people dining here and it reminds you of... More

If you've lived in Cincinnati for any duration of time, you might have been regaled with tales of how our international airport was meant to be on the Ohio side of the river, right at the very eastern edge of the city limits. This, of course is now our municipal airport, Lunken. Flights from small jetliners and independent crafts as... More

We've come here many times over the years with our family. The last few times the service hasn't been great, but it's fun and the food is usually pretty good. My husband and I decided to meet for lunch today at Sky Galley, because we'd always enjoyed it in the past. The service today was sad. We arrived about 1pm,... More

The food (typical American menu) is nothing special, but the restaurant (and bar) are located in the historic Lunken Airfield Terminal Building, and one can watch airplanes taxi up to the terminal to drop off or pick up passengers. Sit on the patio if the weather is decent, then visit the little store to pick up a souvenir.

This is what it use to be many, many years ago when you went to an airport. You can practically touch some of the small planes! This place was built in the 1930's and has the original art deco design, details, etc. -- it's like you walked into a small airport in the 1930s. The restaurant was surprising, I wasn't... More

I can't disagree with previous reviews. We went there for a late afternoon lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Place was moderately busy. A nice selection of burgers - moderately priced. Restaurant is in the old terminal building of the Lunken Municipal Airport. Restaurant decor fits the building. Very pleasant to sit and watch private aircraft take off and land. Appeared... More

The Good: Classic American Diner Food, Amazing Art Deco Building, Reasonable Prices, Very Good Service The Bad: no knockout dishes, could be cleaner This is the old Airport Restaurant at Lunken Field in Cincy. The building is a slice of history with links to Lindbergh, The Beatles and American Airlines. The restaurant itself has been here since the 1960s. The... More

This restaurant is in the Lunken Airport, once the main Airport for Cincinnati. It is Art Deco period and has retained that atmosphere. The menu is extensive, with some regional dishes such as Braunschweiger sandwiches, as well as more traditional American offerings. I had the fish and chips and the portion was generous, but the fish was a little over-cooked... More

Atmosphere, aerially speaking. Choppers, single n twin engine, Jet setters, commercial n private aircraft of all sorts and sizes. Lunch, Dinner depends on if your coming or going. Keno with beverages if you so elect to imbibe. Free Parking round back and metered parking on Wilmer out front. The "nickle tour" is incredible. Souvenir Shop to assist the little people... More
