Don't be put off by chili served over spaghetti...you'll be hooked!

Okay, so I admit to being a bit leery of the local "tradition" of pouring chili over spaghetti. A quick Internet search told me that Skyline is the place to go in Cincinnati for local fare, so I tried it. All I can say is: I can't wait to go back! Don't expect hot and spicy chili; for that... read more

October 2014. I was in town for business and had a few days to be tourist and opted to try Skyline Chili. Huge lunch crowd from downtown offices and nearby P & G. Service was very good and the Cincy chili, flavored with cinnamon on a huge plate of spaghetti. Crackers are a must. When in Cincy eat like the... More

The first few times I visited a Skyline was with friends. First time-it sucked. Second time-still sucked but less. Third time-not bad. Fourth time-I couldn't get enough. Weird. Ever since, whenever I'm either in Cinci/Covington area or within 100 miles of Cinci, I go out of my way to drive over and have a 5 way (basically the works), and... More

I don't like their chili. I find it to be closer to spaghetti with bad meat sauce. Have never understood the allure. Much better things to eat here.

Cincinnati Chili is unique. Some people love it to the point of an addiction. Some people aren't so keen on chili on top of spaghetti and cheese. It is so different, it makes a great change of pace. You are served at the table and the service is as fast as any fast food restaurant so the experience is good.... More

I know I know... I'm gonna sound horrible. But I just wasn't into the Chili here at Skyline. I know it's a Cincy staple, and that's why I went. It just wasn't flavorful or hearty, I'm used to a chili with a lot more pizazz, even from a Wendy's. Definitely a fun environment and I can see its appeal, but... More

Wanted to try Cincinnati chili in Cincinnati and we were not disappointed. This is a cool eatery with a diner feel right downtown (near ballparks and riverfront) that serves the city's specialty with good service and it was relatively clean and comfortable - all good things. The seating/ordering/paying system was a little confusing but the staff was very friendly so... More

we had this at the ballpark - cute little 4" hotdogs covered in chili and MOUNDS of cheese - mounds. seriously, you can not see the bun for all the cheese. it was good, but not out of this world. you should try it though, chili is one of those personal preference things......

One of the giants of this unique style of chili, Skyline is a chain with stores throughout the Cincinnati area. Their food is delicious, service is fast and friendly, and prices incredibly reasonable. If you have the craving or want to try something different, stop in at a Skyline restaurant...you won't be disappointed.
