We went here prior to the Mellencamp concert. It was very crowded, though we did get a small table near the bar area. The selection of cocktails was interesting. The grapefruit and basil cocktail was very good, as was the calamari and spinach dip. Very good waitress, who was very helpful.

My wife and some friends stopped here for dinner before attending the John Mellencamp concert at the Aronoff. We had a nice time. Everyone enjoyed themselves, service was attentive but not intrusive. I ordered the fried chicken. However I was expecting fried chicken but instead received fried chicken tenderloins. This was not specified on the menu and it should be... More

We have enjoyed Nicholson's in the past and had a great lunch this time. The place was very quiet on a Saturday for lunch, which made us miss the normally jovial bar noise. But the Fish & Chips were up to their usual high standard - light, crunchy crust on solid, but flaky, fish. We also like their crispy Duck... More

You really can't beat Nicholson's duck fat fries and homemade ketchup!!! They are my biggest pregnancy craving, but I loved them before I was pregnant too! Lol. The fried fish is really good, too, and I really like their housemade sauces and dressings. I haven't tried many things, because I usually don't shy away from the fish, burgers or fries.... More

We enjoy Nicholson's for the atmosphere and the great selection of beers and whiskies. It's really popular (and crowded) on nights of shows at the Aronoff, so reservations well in advance are necessary. The food is pretty standard pub grub, but satisfying. The service can be a little inconsistent and the front is really noisy, so we always request seating... More

My mom, son and I went here after the ballet a couple weeks ago. I had reservations and we were early, but they were able to seat us right away. I loved the dark wood booths and decor. It really had a pub feel to it. The food was delicious - I had the fish and chips. It was a... More

We stopped in at Nicholson's prior to attending the ballet recently. (It's right across the street from Aronoff center.) All the tables were taken, but we were lucky enough to find a couple of spots at the bar. We received excellent service, and had some great food. We were so impressed, in fact, that we came back after the show.... More

Pot roast is so yummy I had a dream about it the next night. The place gets crowded but the staff does everything they can to get you seated and comfortable. Great band played there on a Saturday night.
