Enchanting and Charming

This place was selected by our local family for lunch. Even before you go in, the scenery surrounding this former pottery factory is a must see. Upon entering you see the grand bar and large kilns. I experienced the craft beers with the help of our waiter, very good. Their salads come in two... read more

We had a small family brunch ( party of 8 with reservations) the week after Mother's Day. We were escorted to a large black kiln room that was very bleak and it felt as if we were in dungeon.. After ordering iced tea we had to fetch our own sweetener. When it was time to order after reading the menu... More

We visited here on a Sunday night and were able to sit outside in some unseasonably warm weather. We were in Cincinnati for the Flying Pig running events, and were all hungry after running anywhere from 5 to 26.2 miles that morning and afternoon. Our server was very helpful and fun. It was nice to have the option of getting... More

I've eaten there three times and had the same experience each time. Maybe I'm a food snob, but when the dessert is inedible it's saying something. First, finding something on the menu to order. I don't like bacon so I am at a disadvantage since everything has bacon. I also find the use of "truffle oil" off putting. There is... More

The bar, the restaurant, the views - and samples of Rookwood Pottery for your enjoyment! Take in the history while enjoying food and/or drinks with friends.

This restaurant has so much to offer. It is one of the coolest places you'll ever see (I mean, you can EAT in a KILN!) and has a great food selection. It's a neat place to grab a bite with friends and share small plates, or enjoy a nice meal on a date. It truly is one of my favorite... More

Food is tasty and beautifully presented. Since the building is historic, it can be pretty cold and drafty on a winter day.

I am VERY picky when it gets to pancakes, and I can say I probably tried 90% of the pancakes available in Cincinnati. The Rookwood WINS with their Ricotta/Lemon ones. The Croque Madame was also very tasty. The benedict ok but not to the standards of the other dishes. Would definitely go back!

My family enjoys going to The Rookwood because of its history, atmosphere and delicious home grown meat and vegetable, all local to Cincinnati. Our server Grant was especially good explaining much about the building itself and the quality of food. Small plates was a great selection for our group! We will be back!

The Rookwood was on our itinerary for our 2-day "run away." We were looking for places to go where we could relax and depressurize, and this location exceeded our expectations. We started with beverages - a lovely Sangiovese for me and a cocktail for him, and ordered appetizers of Devilish eggs and Dirty olives. For my meal, I selected the... More
