Brunch with friends

An old pottery with lots of character inside and stunning views outside. We met with a bunch of friends for early Sunday brunch. I think we might have been one of the first group of people to arrive. There was a little bit of a "funky" smell when we first walked in (soon got over this) but we were... read more

Join me on a trip, back in time, to the early 90s when I was a small girl. My sister was in and out for cancer treatment at Cincinnati Children's so we were also in and out of Cincinnati. Eden Park became our favorite haunt and eating at the Rookwood became part of our tradition of escaping the heaviness of... More

This restaurant is in a restored pottery factory and I've been to some establishments that rely on their locale or decor to compete. Not so here! We went for brunch and were delighted. The drink menu has a nice variety of beer, wine and cocktails. I had a Bloody Mary and it was delicious. The brunch menu was a good mix... More

Possibly not fair, but sat at the bar with my wife and ordered a drink - a excellent Manhattan, by the way- and decided to split a sandwich. The pork belly sandwich came with excellent 'shoestring'-like fries, and was tasty.......at least what pork meat there was was tasty. In a sandwich, especially in a nice place, the meat should be... Chef Jackson is well known in Cincinnati for creative offerings using local foods items with a European flair. He is the master of preparing menus you won't find anywhere else.

I enjoyed the building architecture & details, kilns, the lay out of the restaurant. We had a nice private table. We heard good things about the burgers so that's what we ordered. The burgers were good; I loved the bun & thyme aioli on mine. The burgers were served with haystack fries. We all had tons of fries leftover because... More

We grabbed a quick dinner before going to Playhouse in the Park and were very pleased with our selection. The menu is not overwhelming, but has some interesting choices. Salads, entrees, small plates and the traditional burgers that Rookwood is known for. Local craft beers on tap.

The restaurant is located in an old pottery factory. The kilns have been converted into intimate dining spaces and much of the factory gears and pulleys can still be seen throughout the restaurant. There's a small display of early Rookwood pottery in one of the dining rooms. Our server encouraged us to walk around the restaurant, so don't hesitate to... More

Not my cup of tea. The place has transitioned from what it was known for. Almost a formal atmosphere vs the older casual dining. Used to have great burgers but trying too hard to be something different.

We've been to this restaurant many, many times, usually for lunch while visiting family in Cincinnati. I'm a Rookwood Pottery collector, and the pieces the restaurant has on display are worth eating there once just to view them. I must say, though, that I've seen this restaurant's menu and quality of food go downhill over time, with their prices continuously... More
