Seems like they are trying to be trendy or artsy. However, the shrimp pasta dish was very bland and tasteless, and expensive. The fish was average- nice presentation but not that tasty. The drinks at bar were varied... had a good long island ice tea at the bar, and the next one at the table was purely awful- big difference... More

Had dinner here and was seated in one of the kilns. I was not too fond of the stark black walls but had great company for dinner. If you do not like enclosed spaces would not opt for the kiln location. The menu was interesting with small plates and large plates. I had the eggplant and hummus small plate with... More

At the end of a long drive, I was looking forward to finally having the opportunity to dine at this restaurant for which there is a lot of history. While the food and service were both good, I found the selection to be disappointing for a restaurant that has the reputation of The Rookwood. Will I return - Yes, but... More

I've been to The Rookwood twice, once for brunch and again for dinner. Both times were memorable. Located in Mt. Adams, the skyline view is beautiful and parking is plentiful with their on-site private lot (a luxury in this neighborhood). The decor is simple, which allows the historic kilns (private dining areas) to take center stage. The staff were attentive... More

The history of the building it awesome but the view is just as great. Food was good, service was excellent and the drinks were cold

This is a great restaurant up on a hill above the city of Cincinnati. The pickled veggies were great. We had a couple of mimosas... Yum! I had a grilled cheese with pimento jerk chicken and goat cheese with tomatoe bisque. The bread is unbelievable. My boyfriend had a bowl of chicken leak potato soup. It was like a warm... More

I ate lunch here on a Saturday with 7 friends. It was not busy at all, maybe because it was such a nice day? I think we were the only customers when we arrived, and only a few more were there when we left. We had great service by Teresa. I ordered the large beets salad. It was tasty but... More

Lovely. Eggs Benedict were wonderful, and the white cheddar grits perfect. Have to say, half way through our brunch , we were making plans to come back!

We recently went to the Rookwood for lunch. I have dined here within the past year and was familiar with their menu. Each time I have enjoyed the unique soups and salads. I love the Root Down salad which is composed of shaved brussels sprout, roasted cauliflower, radish, kale and lemon tahini dressing It has a savory, earthy flavor which... More

I had a out of town guest visiting and wanted her to see Mt. Adams while here. Lunch at the Rookwood was a must and is was a good choice. We both had the soup of the day which was wonderful and I had the 1993 salad and my friend had the Heirloom Beat salad. Both were very good and... More
