Great neighborhood watering hole

Allyn's has always been a great neighborhood joint. Good food, good beer and wine, and good conversation at the bar. It seems the menu has been simplified recently, but my two favorites are still there - Mardi Gras Pasta, and Red Beans and Rice. Can't go wrong with either. My wife really likes the Black Bean salad with the jalapeño... More

We went to Allyn's with my sister and brother in law who live around the block. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. The beer selection was good and fair priced. My SIL got the wrap which she really enjoyed. My BIL got the jambalaya and the portion was gigantic-- he got the dinner portion and not the... More

Good atmosphere... decent prices, but great diverse menu. Food is very good. Portions are plentiful... Service is friendly... sometimes slower than desired, but I return regularly for the food. Good stuff!

My wife and I stopped in here during Cincinnati Beer Week. We love that they trimmed down their menu from the first time we ate here (about 5 years ago). The food choices are now basic, comfortable, and reasonably priced. The service is great. And the beer selection makes this place one of our favorite stops.

I was somewhat skeptical when Allyn's remodeled a couple of years ago and updated their bar area -- was afraid the place would lose its comfortable, relaxed feel. And while the new bar does have a more upscale look and feel about it, the rest of the place is as awesome as ever. Tons of beers to choose from and... More

We went here one Sunday (game day) and sat at the bar. The beer selection was above average for a bar that size. The appetizers/bar food were pretty well made, fresh tasting and large portions. Pricing was pretty good too. I would recommend this place for a casual lunch/dinner or some apps and beverages.

I often stop by Allyn's on my way to meetings close by. I'm from New Orleans, so it's nice to have a little taste of home occasionally. Try the jambalaya and the black bean rolls!

I've been to Allyn's several times over the past few years, and it's one of my favorite spots. The service is always good, redone dining area is nice (although I miss the old atmosphere a bit), the beer selection is excellent, and the Jambalaya is the best to be found!
