An oldie but a goodie

Just had a business lunch at Allyn's. The marinated chicken salad was surprisingly delicious. Same goes for the Jambalaya. I had forgotten all about this place. Long before all the millennials discovered the Tusculum area and airdropped in their coffee bars and fitness clubs...there was Allyn's. A... read more

I've been going to Allyn's for over 20 years. In that time the restaurant has grown in size, but it still has the same good food. It's a fun, casual atmosphere and is moderately priced. Sometimes they have live entertainment which can get pretty loud if you're there to eat. Try the Mardi Gras Pasta or the Jambalaya!

Haven't been to Allyn's in about 8-10 years. The bar area has been totally remodeled. I liked the old bar better but the new one is actually nicer. Really nice patio and the entrance is now thru the patio rather than thru the original front entrance that was off the narrow sidewalk of a very busy street. Opening the door... More

Being new to the Columbia Tusculum area, we are on a mission to try all restaurants and bars in the area, Allyn's was our first stop. We went in later on a Friday night and had already had dinner so stopped in for a quick drink. There weren't too many people inside and we were greeted by the waitress pretty... More

Allyn's is definitely a good local's place and people who live around the area know it's a hidden jem. The food is really good and they have a great variety of options you wouldn't expect. The outdoor seating is perfect during the warmer days and their drink selection is top notch. It's just a great place to hang out, grab... More

I wasn't sure what to expect, but the food and service were excellent. My portion of the special seafood alfredo was too big for me to finish on my own even though it was so good I really wanted to eat all of it. My husband had his meal and decided to try mine. He liked it so well that... More

Allyn's has been a mainstay in Columbia-Tusculum for years. They have an eclectic menu featuring Cajun and Mexican items, as well as normal pub grub like wings and burgers. The beer list is very extensive, including lots of local craft beers from the Cincinnati area. Nice bar area with TVs, or a quieter dining area upstairs.

Allyn's has always been a great neighborhood joint. Good food, good beer and wine, and good conversation at the bar. It seems the menu has been simplified recently, but my two favorites are still there - Mardi Gras Pasta, and Red Beans and Rice. Can't go wrong with either. My wife really likes the Black Bean salad with the jalapeño... More

We went to Allyn's with my sister and brother in law who live around the block. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. The beer selection was good and fair priced. My SIL got the wrap which she really enjoyed. My BIL got the jambalaya and the portion was gigantic-- he got the dinner portion and not the... More
