In business since 1875, and located in a residential area, City View Tavern perches about half way down the western slope of Mt. Adams. The beer is cold, the food is very good, and the view of downtown Cincinnati, the Ohio River, and Northern Kentucky is spectacular.

Really nice view and good burgers!

It was a little difficult to find the restaurant but it was definitely unique that it was kind of right in the middle of a neighborhood. We walked into the restaurant and when you get to where the tables are at, you see the incredible view. Unfortunately there were too many people already on the... read more

I would never have found this place by myself. I have friends who live out of town, I live the other side of the world. Catching up after a decade they asked what I wanted to do for lunch. A miserable, rainy day in Cincinnati I threw out the challenge for a GREAT burger and beer. I wasn't disappointed. This... More

Quiet neighborhood bar with great variety of craft beers and drinks. Delicious but limited menu. Try the Mert's Wurst .... A hot mett on rye with hot mustard.......takes your breath away. Vegetarian options too. The deck offers a spectacular view of Cincinnati and the Ohio River. Board games are available for playing. The jukebox has a broad range including Sinatra....also... More

First off you go to bar to order, no table service due it small tavern way. Great view of Cincinnati down town. Great craft beers. The big Ted deluxe is one of the best burgers in the city . Love this place

Stopped on the way through Cincinnati. Small pub with a good view of the city and a really good pb & b burger.

City View has not changed much in 40 years except that the groceries are gone, the bar is bigger, and they put in a huge window so you can enjoy the city view all year long. Still fun, still quiet, still a great place to go with friends to show them the city. Beautiful view!

The view is FANTASTIC! This was one of my first stops in Cincinnati and it was totally worth it. The view is probably one of the best you'll get. The cons I saw was the parking. It is on a road with many townhomes and no parking lot is available. The street is not too long so walking was not... More

If you want a great burger, bloody mary, and view of Cincinnati, this is your place. The PB&B is delicious and the bloodys are nice and spicy. Can't ask for a nicer view of downtown Cincinnati.

Silas makes an excellent burger and a even better Maple Bourbon Gingerale! Don't forget to enjoy the patio view!

Every time we take a day off, we drive an hour to get here. The view, the Big Ted burger, and a great bloody mary make for an overall 5 rating. We always get down around 11:30 before the deck gets too crowded and the bartender always treats us like welcome guests.
