Everything was just "Ducky"

Would I wait in line again for 35 minutes to get into this interesting eatery? Absolutely! Huge portions, fabulous taste treats, entertaining wait staff, an owner/manager who makes everyone smile and rubber ducks everywhere. Why? I haven't a clue, but it doesn't matter. I don't understand how anyone could leave a bad review on this place. Yes the wait can be long because it's a tiny diner. We went at prime brunch time on a Sunday (11:30) and waited only 20 minutes. I also don't understand how anyone could call the manager here creepy or rude. You can tell this guy loves his... More

Food was good. We got lunch and they are more known for their breakfast. One guy passed out free rubber duckies and awesome ice cream. He was fun, energetic, and helpful. Apparently separate checks are too much to ask- our not so sugar n spice waitress said "are you kidding me" under her breath when another worker asked her to... More

Fun and nostalgic ambience. Tiny place with counter and adorable booths making it a cozy brunch. Food was good. Kids and I loved the bucket of rubber duckies to choose from. Wispy thin pancakes were delightful. Went on a Sunday and the wait was an hour so be prepared.

Found this place on trip advisor and saw that it had good reviews and wasn't far from where we were. We were greeted by a nice waitress and she even gave us some pointers of what was good. Let me just say WOW! Ginormous omelettes and great sweet potato pecan waffles. We were stuffed!! Great little quaint spot with good... More

The diner is quite small, but we've never had a problem getting a table. It's a typical old-style quirky diner. The service was good, not great, just good. The servers are efficient but I wouldn't say they are all that warm and friendly. The menu offers so many great breakfast options. I really enjoyed the Sweet Potato Waffles and the... More

Their wispy-thin pancakes are delicious. The other options are good, not overwhelmingly delicious. If you go on a Sunday, expect to wait.

I don't understand what the hype is about either.Sent my eggs back because they were cooked wrong and tasted funny. Owner came out and argued with me about it. Said i hurt the cooks feelings! REALLY? Wispy thin pancackes were awful. I can make better ones at home. Sorry Sugar and Spice but its not all that. No desire to... More

Disappointed. I don't think I understand what the hype is about. We drove 30 minutes to try this place. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing good either. Just average. We got the pancakes - their specialty. Taste just like pancakes I make at home. Coffee is normal - like folgers or something. Bacon wasn't tasty. Service was average, at best.... More
