This is set on the bank of the Ohio river, both indoor and outdoor seating, but would rather sit inside. Strewn throughout the restaurant are sports and political nostalgia that will keep your eyes moving at all times. Shoot, they have a picture and signature Bob Evans, Cacuis Clay (Muhammad Ali), Bob Hope and Evander Holyfield's ear. The food is... More

The location and ambiance of the Boathouse makes this a destination place for visitors and special occasions. The food and service is good. But for the best BBQ, there are better places. Admittedly they are harder to find and in less grand space.

BBQ, not in Cincinnati. You want BBQ, then stay in Texas, or Texas, or Texas. The only food you will find in Cincinnati are the mundane and bland. The only item on the menu worth eating is the homemade chips but you can get better crisps at your local market. The ribs are almost bare of meat and the sauce... More

Don't miss eating here for the wonderful view of the river; the food is very good also. An old Cincinnati place to eat, Montgomery Inn is know for its ribs and Saratoga chips. My husband likes the fish. This is the place to take out of town guests; you can go to a ballgame and have dinner before or after.

This place is highly thought of in Cincinnati. Unfortunately, it does not compare well to real bar-b-que that is smoked. Having grown up on both Memphis style then Texas bar-b-que, this boiled meat would come in dead last in competition in these areas of the country. People rave that it falls off the bone but all meat does once cooked... More

I have eaten many fine meals at the Boathouse and all of the area Ribs-King owned restaurants. Their ribs, Saratoga chips and Ribs King sauce is the best. Don't like ribs? Then try the beef ribs, or the chicken. The beef ribs are always good and the chicken is as good as you will get anywhere. Be prepared to have... More

We've been to the boathouse several times. My husband is a rower (crew) and was looking for "A Boathouse". While it may have been intended as a boathouse, it is a high end (translate: expensive) rib joint that has received a good deal of publicity and hype over the years as a pay out for various high profile bets between... Great food with a beautiful view of the ohio river. Ribs are always perfect with sauce on the side. Saratoga chips are great for dipping in the sauce too.

I have dined here many time for business. The food is just average, The ribs are not true southern smoked ribs and are not very flavorful. The other entrees I have tried are nothing great. The house made chips are very good. They tend to crowd people in and the place can get noisy. The service is great.and the location... More
