Ribs . . . so many . . .ribs!

Came here as a group of 8 - my friend is a local and as most of us were in town for her wedding party she thought this place would be a good spot to come. Obviously we quickly discovered it was famous for ribs, and so most of us opted to try them. I enjoyed the experience, I'm not... read more

We ate at the Boathouse last night and it was not very good. My sister was in from California and her son (my nephew) was all fired up to take them to a Cincinnati tradition. My wife was skeptical since the last time she ate at Montgomery Inn, she thought it was sub-par. I was giving it the benefit of... More

This is a Cincinnati staple! The ribs of course can't be beat!!! The pulled pork is also excellent. Try the mac & cheese - it's fantastic! Saratoga chips very good too. I don't think there is anything at this place that I wouldn't highly recommend. Be prepared though - it isn't cheap to eat here.

The Saratoga chips are very good. The ribs fall off the bone but are not that great. The sauce is very vinegary- not to my liking. The bread they serve come out of a package, the pulled pork is poor as is the fried fish sandwich. There was nothing very special here but that said, it is worth coming just... More

First of all, the location of the place is within long walking distance to Great American Park. The restaurant is really nice with many sports and other artifacts strewn about the walls in a tasteful fashion. The atmosphere was great, as was the view of the river from just about any seat! I have heard the ribs were the best... More

If you visit Cincinnati you must try the Montgomery Inn barbecued ribs. You can sit at the window of the MI downtown and enjoy looking out over the river while eating ribs and chips dipped in the sauce. legend has it that Bob Hope had these sent to him! This is one of the four iconic Cincy foods everyone must... More

Spent our time waiting for our table in the upstairs lounge out on the balcony. Comfy tables and chairs good drinks. For dinner we were in the main dining room. They have a special 3 course dinner with ribs for only $30 a person. Food was fantastic, waiter was excellent. We were celebrating our anniversary.

In Cincy for All Star game and friend recommended this restaurant. Ate lunch early on patio overlooking Ohio River. Rack of ribs were excellent and the service was GREAT! Very friendly staff. Connie gave us tour of all the private dining areas after. Family owned since 1986 and Mr Gregory was friends with Bob Hope. Lots of Hope and sports... More

On weekends from 6-8pm you will have a wait of about an hour. But. ask yourself why would people wait if it was not worth it? If possible, try coming earlier, or a bit later. Not only are the ribs fall off the bone tender, but the crab cakes, salads, fish and steaks are delicious. "The Boathouse" not only has... More

The best in Cincinnati. Hands down. Great place on the banks of the Ohio river or in the heart of Montgomery.
