This is a very good dining option in downtown Cincinnati. The food is prepared well, and the service is also commendable. Although some earlier reviews said the restaurant was BYOB, as of mid-June 2014, they are serving beer and wine. They even have a couple of Turkish beers and wines on the menu, and we liked them. We had a... More

Went for lunch to try their $10 special and was very satisfied with the quantity and quality of the food. The servers were knowledgable and friendly and the food brought me back to the Bosporus. Thanks for opening in Cincinnati.

Food was outstanding. The servers gave their recommendations for what was best, and I think they were spot on. Remember to BYOB here. Location is very unassuming. It is much nicer inside than it looks from the outside. Definitely give this place a try.

We were planning to go to one of the more expensive downtown restaurants, but decided to try Istanbul Cafe instead. We were wowed! The lamb chops were outstanding; terrific marinade and cooked to perfection. We also had the vegetarian stew and it was quite good. The service was terrific; we were made to feel very welcome and the server was... More

The restaurant offers very tasty food. The appetizer plate to share is great and allows you to try a variety of items. The salmon dish is great, very well spiced and cooked. I would definitely get it again. Other items on the menu looked appetizing as well. Do not forget to BYOB. Location is OK and the restaurant does not... More

I recently visited the Istanbul Cafe when visiting Cincinnati to take in some Reds' games. It was Labor Day and many of the Central Business area restaurants were closed for lunch and dinner. Perusing the menu outside I was pleased to see there were quite a few vegetarian options available. When I stepped into the cafe for lunch there were... More

I've been to Istanbul Cafe twice in the last week, and both experiences were excellent. I've been wondering where great Mediterranean style food was in Cincinnati, and finally found it. If there's a better option, I'd like to know about it. Food-wise, there are many interesting appetizers, salads and entrees, especially the kabobs. The appetizer sampler comes with a great... More

We had an outstanding experience from start to finish. We were greeted at the door by our waiter who volunteered to clear the window table for us so we could look out onto the street. He was very thorough in his description of how Turkish cuisine varied from the standard Mediterranean fare we were used too. He was attentive throughout... More
