I'm not aware of a more reasonable option for those of us in withdrawal

Growing up in Cincinnati, everyone in the know, knows Andy's Mediterranean. Growing up in Cincinnati, everyone in the know, knows Andy's Mediterranean. After spending one year in NYC, and more specifically, in Astoria (a greek neighborhood in Queens) my affinity for middle eastern fare outweighed my traditional cravings for Indian food. In NYC, I discovered the unbeatable and beloved, King of Falafel & Shawarma. This is an award-winning food truck which... More

This was a pleasant change from the usual dining in Cincy. I have eaten many different ethnicities of food but this was my first Turkish. "Frank" was our waiter and he was very informative and gracious while helping a couple of rookies make our selections. I suggest trying the various samplers they offer if you are new to this cuisine.... More

Service was overbearing. Server smelled of cigarette smoke at first, then cologne. He discussed his personal life/problems in too much detail. I'm suspicious of positive reviews on Yelp and Tripadvisor - this place was pretty empty on a Friday night and the entree meat and vegetables were overcooked.

My boyfriend and I have ate here twice, and it is outstanding. The first time, we both enjoyed the feta borek (10/10 recommend!), and then I had the doner kebab and he had the falafel. Both dishes were fresh, hot, and flavorful. My meal was incredibly filling, and I loved everything down to the pita bread and even the rice.... More

This restaurant is conveniently located one block north of fountain square. The food literally melts in my mouth. I recommend sticking with appetizers. Get a sampler plate, a shepherd's salad and some falafel to share and you will be set. Last time I ate here I found that a bottle of sparkling wine was highly complementary and really brought the... As a service member stationed in Turkey, I loved the many foods I enjoyed eating and, upon my return stateside, I never expected to have the pleasure of those foods again. WRONG! Cafe Istanbul has transported me back to once again, eat like a man back in Taksim Square. The flavors are so mind blowing and the tastes...oh so good.... More

I was in Cincinnati for a conference and found this restaurant in the vicinity of the hotel. It was the perfect find given that my colleagues were well traveled and familiar with food all over the world. We all agreed the quality of the food rivaled food in Istanbul! Service was excellent!

This cafe was near my hotel. I stopped in for a light meal. It was a good meal. I had falafel, salad, and hummus. The restaurant was well managed.
