Description: The heritage of Cincinnati's storied brewing history comes alive along the banks of the Ohio River at this world-class restaurant and brewery. Prominently situated in the dynamic Smale Riverfront Park, the Moerlein Lager House offers a guest experience unlike any other—a working microbrewery producing a full line of Moerlein craft brews, and delectable fare featuring grain spent breads, hand-carved sandwiches, and smoked rotisserie meats… foods reminiscent of those served in the city’s celebrated 19th century beer gardens.

We (2) stopped here after leaving early, at an early afternoon ball game at the park. It was very hot and humid outside. It was after the crush period and the place was nearly empty, quiet and cool. Our meals were good and the beer was good, but not enough so to lure me back when other venues are available... More

Good restaurant for beer lovers. Very busy, so get there early. Worth a visit. Another great addition to the Waterfront. Have a walk in the park afterwards to walk off your dinner.

I called the restaurant and was told they had no reservation between 4 and 9pm. Open table had reservations at 6:30pm which is earlier than we wanted but at least it worked. I was told by friends this happens all the time. There is an open seating area which you can walk into and seat yourself. Unfortunately for them they... More

Great place to take visitors so they can view river / Kentucky + Smale Park during dinner. Great variety on menu allows for complete dinner or just appetizers or sandwich. Portions are huge. Fun atmosphere w/efficient wait staff. After 6 visits: no bad experiences. Reservations a must (use Opentable.com) - get seated immediately. Favorite of family is beer can chicken... More

My wife and I were on a getaway weekend in Cincinnati August 10th, we took in a Bengals practice at Paul Brown practice field then walked over to "The Banks". This is a new bar/restaurant entertainment spot on the Ohio River between the stadiums where the Reds and Bengals play. Beautiful out and all the bars were packed. Not having... More

I was traveling on business and a Cincinnati local, who is also a craft beer lover, recommended this place. He was very nice to have done so, as the group I was with all had a great time. The location is cool...right on the picturesque riverfront, nestled in the heart of downtown. It is a in a contemporary styled building... More

I always thought Moerlein's would be a fun place to eat on game day. I would be at Great American Ball Park and glance over and see people out on he balcony and think, how awesome. I finally had an opportunity to try it, and I was right! We did not want full meals because we did not want to... More

A great place to eat before a ball game. Delicious salad and wonderfully cold beer. The wait staff was excellent. Very, very crowded on a baseball game day. The outdoor patio on the west side of the building can be very, very warm on a summer afternoon. Get a table inside if you can.

A group of us came here before the reds game and all of us enjoyed. Excellent selection of craft beers and food was good. Most of the menu selections were similar to any other brew pub but did have a nice touch such as parmesan garlic fries. It was busy right before a game but service was still good and... More

I visited the restaurant with a group of co-workers during the holidays. We were able to be accommodated in timely manner and our server was awesome. Everyone was pleased with their orders and the portion size was very generous. The food was priced well too. You have to go at night to see how nice the riverfront looks.
