Good not great

Not a bad place to visit before taking in a show at Aronoff, but would not suggest going here for a big night out. In a similiar fashion, can bring children/family but would not a date night place. I was enjoying my Caesar salad with grilled yet tender, perfectly done salmon, and looked up to see my two teenaged boys had pretty much inhaled their 16 oz steaks. "It was really good mom!" said both. My husband, who tries lasagne everywhere, said it was really good here. Dessert was inhaled and claimed to be fantastic by all 3... More

The staff is very friendly and quick. The food is amazing the fresh bread and dipping sauce the best!! The Caesar salad dressing is made in house and very tasty. Many choices for a picky group and everyone loved their dinners.

We went with a group of 28. They were super accommodating. This is a very charming restaurant with fanastic food. I had the lasagne. It was not the typical multiple layers of pasta and cheese. It was cheeses wrapped in pasta with the perfect amount of each. The sauce was excellent. The homemade rolls were served warm with dipping oil.... More

This is a very good Italian restaurant in downtown Cincinnati. We dine there often before attending events at the Aronoff Center (it is right across the street). The dishes (excepting salads, which are usually mediocre) are well prepared, and the service is almost always good. The selection is modest, as is the wine list, and prices are in the intermediate... Nice dinner after the play. Nice atmosphere but food was just ok. Ordered the filet and it was covered in steak sauce. My friend had pasta and she enjoyed it. With all the other choices around I wouldn't go back.

We actually thought this was a pizza walk-in judging from the outdoor patio dining set up. Much nicer inside. We were surprised to find a nicely decorated restaurant with bar area. The good news: nicely decorated, good wait staff, clean, generous portions, a filet was cook perfectly and a very nice cut, asparagus was great. The bad news: the Bruscetta... More

Walking into the restaurant I was certain that we would be disappointed. Thankfully, I was wrong. Trattoria Roma offered very generous portions and very good food. My daughter had the filet mignon ordered medium rare and it was cooked to perfection. My husband had the linguine with white clam sauce and that was equally good. The clams were fresh cooked... The place was a surprise. I have never been before and wanted to try a new Italian restaurant in Cincinnati. The atmosphere is average, bigger than what I expected with red/white checkered table clothes, candles at each table, nice, clean, but again, average or what you would typically expect. The service was good and servers were quick to answer any questions.... More

I have posted over 90 restaurant reviews with Trip Advisor and I swear that my glass of Pinot Grigio wine at Trattoria Rosa in Cincinnati was in the smallest glass I have ever seen. It looked like a miniature or sample glass. I was amazed that a restaurant would have the nerve to serve wine in such a small glass... More
