Shaan is one of the friendliest restaurants I've been to in Cincinnati and the food meets a similar standard. This has become one of our new favorite places for take out in the Hyde Park-Mt Lookout-Oakley area. I wouldn't say the food is radically different from other Indian restaurants I've been to in the area but they have excellent variety... More

This was our first experience with Indian food and it was very good! Obviously since it was our first experience we can't compare it to anything else. The atmosphere was quiet and laid back. Service was quick and friendly. It did seem a bit busy with walk-in carryout customers. The food seemed authentic and was very tasty. We'll be back!

Went based on high scoring reviews. Buffet was just average. Service was very good. Better authentic food at Anand at 10890 Reading.

The serving size of both meals we ordered was more than enough and the $10.99 price tag for each seemed fairly priced. Though I’ve yet to try another Indian restaurant in Cincinnati, it will be hard for them to compare to a wonderful experience at Shaan.

Had the chicken tikka, papadums, and mango lassi. The chicken was enough for two, and tasted okay, but nothing to write home about. The lassi was a bit small. If in the area, I would come again especially to try the lunch buffet, but would not go out of my way.

I loved Shaan up until five minutes ago. I just found some type of beetle in my paneer makhani! I am completely disgusted by this, and will be notifying everyone I know in the area about this! Absolutely horrific!

First off, we arrived at 11:10am- doors were locked and the place was supposed to open at 11am. Finally someone lets us in and says it will be 20 minutes to food is ready we are late- no apologies or anything. Food was not ready till 11:35am and that was about half the buffet. Food was very average in taste... More

I consider myself pretty well versed on Indian food and the food here was fine. The room was nice enough. The staff pleasant enough until...I supposed they were tired of us and kindly asked us to leave. I thought they must be closing, we had seen many tables come and go, but we were having a girls night out and... More

As an exiled Brit, I grew up on Indian food, and could happily eat it six nights a week if my waistline would allow. It won't, but I do still try and treat myself once a month, and Shaan is my favorite Indian restaurant in Cincinnati when I do, for a number of reasons. First is the variety, especially on... More

Called for directions was rudely told they did not have time and that they will be closing in 20 minutes, mind you it was around 1p.m.,talked to two perrsons with the same result, it felt like they were saying we do not need your business, any way we went there anyways, food at the bar was the terrible looking, cold,...
