This is one of my favorite otr resteraunts. Bacon wrapped figs are a must and the arugula pizza is divine
I had been here before but it was RIGHT after it had opened and the menu was very limited. I stopped in this past Saturday with my Mom and Aunt and noticed that there are quite a few different things on the menu now. We ordered a bottle of wine and the waiter advised my Aunt into getting their beer... More
We got a table here the other day, and were very pleased with the menu and atmosphere. We were excited to see a variety of categories on the menu from their bruschette, to sliders, to meatballs and their signature pizzas. Great cocktails - including the 'bon voyage' (contains aperol!) Our server, who was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the place,... More
I always search for excellent pizza when I travel, and A Tavola was one of the best. I read about their pizza oven in a national publication and it truly is beautiful. Our waiter gave us a short, informative history of the oven manufacturer and its pedigree. In 90 seconds the pizza is finished at 1000F. Crispy, chewy and bubbling... More
The atmosphere is small and cozy, they have a good selection of beer and wine, and the pizza is unbelievable. They use a special brick oven that was brought over from Italy ( they boast that there are only 25 in the U.S.) and they use very fresh ingredients. They make their own sausage and bacon on site. I had... More
A terrific addition at the very top of Cincinnati's rapidly improving pizza options. The crust here is unequivocally the best in town. Just crispy enough without being too burnt and with air pockets. The margherita was a slight disappointment -- excellent crust and sauce but very light on the basil and not fresh mozzarella (kids devoured though). Otherwise an excellent... More
Loved the Brussels sprout pizza and artichoke pizza. Crust a bit soggy but awesome flavor combinations. Warm olive appetizer was excellent as well as the caprese salad. Service was good. Nice choice of beer and wine. Overall good experience.
Loved the food, fantastic pizza, ESP one with arugula on top. Had several appetizers that were good, including meatballs. General feeling, stick with the pizzas, it's what they do best!
We went so see if the pizza that is touted to be so good is really so good. It's ok but not outstanding. The margherita was OK - the wood fired oven contributes to this. But the olives and anchovies pizza was a disappointment. The anchovies were not anchovies but some fishy thing (sardines? mackerel?) that completely overwhelmed any other... More
We walked in randomly and what a wonderful time! Affordable, delicious and just overall great! We had Stephen as our waiter and he suggested from appetizer to desert the best food!! Very well informed and fun atmosphere! The dates appetizer and chianti are worth every bit'.
