Fabulous Meal

The four of us had a different dish. All agreed it was one of the best meals we have ever had. Wine, appetizers and deserts were GREAT. The only negative was the acoustics- very noisy.

Our server, Tim, was very friendly and full of recommendations on the menu and for wine tasting in Walla Walla. The braised beef cheeks on peaches fell off the fork. Saffron's version carbonara, was equally as delicious with the pancetta and local corn. Tim recommended the Woodward Canyon Columbia Valley Red and it was a perfect red blend at a... More

We had heard good things about this place - and they were true! Food and service were excellent. Will definitely go here on our next visit to Walla Walla.

I was visiting friends in Spokane and they took me wine tasting in Walla Walla and we stayed for dinner and chose Saffron Mediterranean Kitchen and we were so glad we did. It was about 5 pm and we were warmly greeted and sat at a window table. We were so intrigued by the decor and aromas coming from the... More

For a small college town, Walla Walla had a rich selection of good eateries. This is one of the best. Moroccan-Mediterranean in flavors, interesting decor, great food and wine. Of the three in my party we all had Moroccan Lamb Tagine, served in the traditional tagine pot. It was so flavorful, the generous lamb chunks tender and succulent. We had... More

We decided to try lunch at Saffron and was blown away. Their unique menu offers tasty Mezze and flatbread appetizers that were both light and flavorful. However, it's certainly not inexpensive.

My wife and I visit Walla Walla a couple of times each year and always seem to find our way back to Saffron. The food is incredibly fresh and good. We split a meatball appetizer and both of us chose pasta dishes for our entrees. The meatballs were tasty, tender and had a yogurt sauce with fresh peas. The pastas... More

If you can get past all the signs about their rules, it is an adaquate restaurant. The management needs a lesson in customer service. They let you know up front they won't seat incomplete parties, they won't hold your reservation for more than ten minutes, there are no substitutions and the best is a big sign when you walk in... The service was good, the premium Merlot was poor and tasted like it had been opened a couple of days ago. My wife had the pork chop an it was over cooked and burnt on the bottom. I had the strip steak that was okay. The restaurants ambiance was nice but the smoky smell permeated throughout the building and I... More

Friends took me here for my birthday dinner. We shared everything and it was all beautiful. The chef has the art of making simple food taste superb, which is the sign of a master chef.
